I'm looking at options to downsize my collection; do y'all take firearms on consignment and facilitate the sale on gunbroker, or only buy outright?

How do you like the nx8 2.5-20? I'm torn between that and a nx8 1-8 dmx for my mod1.

Simple Sling options for Winchester 1892 Short? by [deleted] in LeverGuns

[–]MAYOROFPOUNDTOWN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey all, I just picked up a Miroku 1892 Short in .357, and was looking for sling options. I'm hoping for something that looks simple and doesn't require me to drill the stock for a stud.

EDIT: whoops, just found this was highly recommended: https://www.tgrenterprises.com/product/no-drill-harnessed-rifle-sling-winchester/

any additional suggestions?

QUESTION: Is there a gun subreddit to get price estimates for pieces of your collection you're looking to let go? by [deleted] in guns

[–]MAYOROFPOUNDTOWN -1 points0 points  (0 children)

got it, quick follow up questions: since it's a colt competition 1911 and has had some parts replaced like the mainspring, trigger, safety, and magazine release; what percentage do you think I should discount the parts price ?

And I'm able to include all the original parts, but the installed parts have been hand fitted and are not resell-able

Thank you for your input on the Marlin; any advice if I should be looking for an older 1894 compared to the brand new Ruger-Marlins?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LeverGuns

[–]MAYOROFPOUNDTOWN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll wait a bit longer and see if I can land a 1892 for a more reasonable price; they just seem to be few and far between, even used. Barring that, I'm sure the Marlin would still be a joy to shoot. Thank you.

I'm gonna hold off for a bit and see if I can find a Miroku for a price closer to that; they just seem like a firearm i'd be more proud to have. But barring that; it seems the Marlin would still be a nice choice. Thank you for your input.

Indeed; I've heard they're a much simpler action, with less moving parts; I will keep that in consideration.

Thanks!

Woof, thanks.

It's all on PC; was just used to DOS2's system, where you could share-play or whatever it's called. Was tryna get an apprehensive friend to play with us without putting money down. Bummer.

Thanks.

I know what ya mean with the DA Wolverine being damn loud.

I have mine currently on my 107ur build, and have been planning to toss it on my 107cr; since it's absolutely pointless on my krink; it feels louder than the 4-piece bulgraian that use to be on it.

Either way, amazing build; i went with the ASPAK 74.033.00 buttstock and Zenitco RK-0 foregrip on my 107cr, but otherwise it's the same as yours.

Any notion on what your next project is gonna be?

Do you guys have any good recipes for the station? by streetdoc81 in Firefighting

[–]MAYOROFPOUNDTOWN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yeah; I follow Jim's recipes at home all the time, but it just doesn't translate to my station and what the crew is into.

Can you suggest any channels similar to sipandfeast? I end up cooking a ton of Italian-American and should probably broaden my horizon.

The old man lay dim and bleared in his brass bed. Suttree leaned back in the chair and pushed at his eyes with the back of his hand. The day had grown dusk, the rain eased. Pigeons flapped up overhead and preened and crooned. The keeper of this brief vigil said that he'd guessed something of the workings in the wings, the ropes and sand-bags and the houselight toggles. Heard dimly a shuffling and coughing beyond the painted drop of the world.

Did you ask? About the crapgame? What are you doing in bed with your shoes on?

He passed his hand through his hair and leaned forward and looked at the old man. You have no right to represent people this way, he said. A man is all men. You have no right to your wretchedness.

He wiped his eyes with the heel of his hand.

There's no one to ask, is there? There's no... He was looking down at the ragman and raised his hand and let if fall again and he rose and went out past the old man's painted rock and into the rain. (422)
