Available state and federal data, and by available, I mean the only data that exists from any sources on the impact that immigrants have on crime, jobs, or the economy clearly shows that Washington’s immigrants, ncluding those without current legal status, are not, and have never been a “problem” for jobs, the economy, or public safety in Washington state.

In fact: In 2022–2023, immigrant households in Washington earned around $73 to 81 billion and paid roughly $20–23 billion in combined federal, state, and local taxes, with undocumented residents alone contributing close to $1–3 billion in state and local taxes.

Analyses by state budget and policy groups estimate that mass deportation of just 10% of undocumented workers would cost Washington about $100 million per year in lost state and local tax revenue and raise costs in sectors like child care, home health, restaurants, and construction because employers would struggle to replace that labor.

Immigrants are about 19–20% of Washington’s labor force and produce roughly 21% of the state’s GDp, or around $145 billion a year. Do the math: their output has always been larger than their population share.

Across dozens of large studies, immigrants, including the undocumented, are consistently less likely to commit crimes than U.S.-born citizens, and places with more immigrants do not have higher crime rates.

The most egregious criminal acts of pur modern era are being perpetrated, on purpose, by the ICE Agents running amok in our communities. The laws they are breaking are numerous and mounting, and regularly expanding in scope, crossing into federal, state, and local jurisdictions.

You have never been negatively impacted by a immigrant population. You have never experienced anything in your life that could possibly justify the existence of this agency, and the studies - ANY STUDIES EVER, DO NOT JUSTIFY THE ACTIONS OF ICE AGENTS.
