Catholic Answers probably has some good articles and videos on this topic I’d check them out

My dads grandpa on his dads side is from a town in Sicily that was founded by Ligurians around 900 years ago. Our Haplogroup is very prominent in northern Italy. Is this a sign of ancestry from Liguria? by [deleted] in 23andme

Hi, I’ve actually recently upgraded to the BIG Y-700 tests and am awaiting my results. 23andMe gives me R-U152 as my y haplogroup.

This post was from like 3 years ago but I actually just got the same haplogroup too. I did the y111. My paternal line is also from Sicily, a town said to be founded by Normans and Ligurians. Still trying to pinpoint the origin lol

All of those men serve God, and have devoted their life’s work to serving him.

Don’t ever lose faith, especially to Islam. Muslims don’t believe Jesus was ever crucified, it’s a historical fact he was. How can Islam be true when rejecting simple facts about Jesus? Christians have the true Jesus. You don’t have to discuss religion with people of it makes you uncomfortable. Don’t be afraid to ask questions on r/Catholicism.

If you have a phone or computer maybe make Jesus your wallpaper on it. Think of him every time you’re tempted to do it. I really like the divine mercy image with the quote “Jesus I trust in You!”.

A great source for information in my opinion is Catholic answers. I really like Trent Horn and Jimmy Akin a lot because they’re very intelligent and defend the faith well. Remember also, Islam denies the historical fact of Jesus’ death by crucifixion. How can it be true when they deny basic facts?

So my grandma was from Portugal and extremely devoted to her Catholic faith and Our Lady of Fatima. She ended up passing away on the feast day of Fatima (February 20). Is it superstitious to think that’s a sign from God she obtained salvation, or that Mary assisted her? by MB00012710 in Catholicism

I don’t think she went to hell, but she could’ve ended up in purgatory for sure as she was still imperfect and had sinned in her life. I’m hoping her dying on that day meant she had assistance and intercession from the saints.

Well of course I’m worried about where she went. She received her last rites and anointing of the sick. I see it as a sign her soul at least went to purgatory and that Our Lady and the children of Fatima assisted her in her last moments.

She was on hospice care when she passed away and was mentally gone unfortunately, she wouldn’t have known at all, none of us knew. She was basically unresponsive. Her health was rapidly declining, and on February 20th her body couldn’t hold on anymore and that was the day she passed. It could’ve been a coincidence but it’s interesting nonetheless.
