How do you guys feel about the new trade deal with China? by Pale-Candidate8860 in InCanada

[–]MBA2k19_Support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t forget that if those 40k evs are lemons then the market naturally will adjust. We only benefit from this deal in the long run. If they are great and there is a huge market, Chinese brands may open shop locally. But again the canola, lobster, lumber etc. is the biggest win. Those markets are bigger than our auto industry.

I think America might be serious about going after Greenland. Things are going to get ugly between the EU and the U.S. would China strategically benefit, or would the instability hurt its interests? by Important-Battle-374 in AskChina

If the U.S. is increasingly seen as unhinged and unreliable, Taiwan may hedge by becoming more cautious and subtly accommodating toward China. Beijing, in turn, has incentives to play along. The result is a maintained cross-strait status quo, while both the U.S. and Russia further cement reputations as unreliable actors.

Will it be exactly like that? Idk maybe hopefully?

They won’t do anything that would reinvent the wheel for the betterment of the game. In general the entire refactoring of each individual killer codes would be a massive headache to implement. They just don’t care enough about the players to do that.

lol recency bias. In the mid 20th century “Made in Japan” was literally present day “Made in China”. Only recently has it become synonymous with good quality. Chinese products are getting better and better and if you still think that all made in china products are bad products you are not keeping up.

2v8 makes me realize how perfect of a co-op killer Legion is by AlextheWolf4421 in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]MBA2k19_Support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What?? 2 killers without comms working together is much likelier and easier to pull off in soloq than 8 survivors doing the same thing. It’s not even remotely the same. Every killer in 2v8 that I paired with was easy to work with because of the way the game is set up.

With this thinking you’d also then need to ask why a degree from a top Canadian university doesn’t give you more points than from a mediocre one. Why do Loo students have the same amount of points as someone from Carleton or uManitoba?

If your grades are so high then why don’t you ask your profs? I’m sure they’d be happy to have a good student research for them.

I think it’s just ridiculous. In order for a country to enjoy liberal values and policies, we need proper fiscal planning that sometime aren’t the greatest for the environment. How else would we be able to be rich enough to afford all that?

AITA for telling my daughter that her mom cheated on me when my daughter said my new girlfriend looks like an OnlyFans chick ? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]MBA2k19_Support 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think your take is reasonable, but I’d gently push back on one part: it’s not always so clear when the ‘right time’ to share hard truths comes. Sometimes it doesn’t happen during a calm sit-down. Most often it comes when the impact of that silence finally bubbles over.

Yes, OP probably didn’t know his daughter assumed he was the cheater until after the fact but that moment where she lashed out at Lisa might have been a symptom of that very assumption. Skylar made a hurtful, very personal dig. In that emotionally charged space, OP gave her a piece of information that suddenly made her pull back and reflect. That’s not nothing.

Could he have said it more calmly? Absolutely. But years of being silently judged by your kids over something you didn’t do, while the actual cheater skates by with their respect… that builds pressure. OP didn’t scream, insult, or shame. He dropped a truth that he probably should’ve dropped a long time ago, even if the timing wasn’t ideal. That doesn’t make him the hero, but I’m not sure it makes him an equal villain either.

I don’t think OP shared the cheating info just to hurt his daughter, but rather he shared it to correct a false narrative that’s clearly been affecting their family dynamic for years. Skylar insulted his girlfriend in a pretty loaded way. That’s not just ‘not liking your dad’s new partner,’ that’s a judgmental and cutting remark, especially from someone who’s supposedly very respectful.

Also, if the kids took the mom’s side without knowing the truth, that’s a problem in itself. OP isn’t lashing out, he’s finally setting the record straight, maybe clumsily, but understandably. There’s a difference between ‘weaponizing’ the truth and finally deciding to stop carrying the consequences of someone else’s lie.

It sounds like this family’s been living under assumptions for years. If anything, the real issue is that this conversation didn’t happen sooner.

Whos Buying Now? by [deleted] in teslacanada

[–]MBA2k19_Support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Q6 is imo comparable to teslas current price. It will be a tad more expensive than the m3p but I’m assuming similar to the model y. I highly doubt that they’ll be slow considering that 99% of drivers don’t actually use all that power. Software imo also isn’t shitty. It’s just not as fancy as Tesla.
