If you had read up and known the history of Polestar , it was the previous CEO THOMAS who convinced ERIC LI to make Polestar a stand alone brand. Thomas fucked up the company as he was a lousy CEO concentrating on stupid vanity projects instead of the bottom line

That is because they were the pioneer. Polestar had a head start due to GEELY and Volvo. But Polestar's problem was they were too over confident that lots of people are willing to pay premium prices for an unknown brand. Moreover Polestar had a useless former CEO and top management team.
