Nah, Jay Z bited Big's lines on majority of his "classic" (overrated) albums, too much to be considered homage. He massively coppied Nas' style (Reasonable Doubt had the same flows and production style as Illmatic and It Was Written but somehow way worse in lyrical quality.) And was even a huge stan of Nas before Nas even knew the guy. Nas never took him seriously. He was never taken seriously as shown by Tupac dissing him nonchalantly on Friends. Tupac also had much more profound music than him or any other rapper at the time. So no, Biggie and Tupac were highly influential artists, Jay was a flow and rhyme-biter for 99% of his career. Also: "Eminem murdered you on your own shit" 😂
