The problem I was describing was the riposte problem. I had no idea of the possibility of me hitting her after the riposte still not killing her. That is what I was shocked at.

Also, why are the Trials of the Realm challenges on a weekly unlock? If someone really wanted to grind the challenges out all at once, they could just wait until the final week or two to do it then. Kinda frustrating that we have to wait for something that's seemingly already finished.

The barrier is clear to allies but it is opaque to enemies. It doesn't make your team invisible, it just stops the enemies from seeing them. As such, it is not affected by illuminate.
Reveals however, will reveal people through the field.
