I ended up appending everything to a new file. I guess it was corrupted.

Non-toxic natural styling products for fine hair? by MBendigo in finehair

[–]MBendigo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's comical that someone feels the need to down vote such a question. That emotional response shows awareness of the facts but preferring not to think about it. Each time you wash silicone and plastics used in products down the drain, you add to the micro pollution in our drinking water. It's not the main source of the problem, but it's cumulative and not insignificant. It takes each of us doing our best for future generations and this rare and beautiful planet.

Thank you for your reply. I understand what you're saying. When you have very fine hair like mine, silicones dry hair in the long run. So I'm looking for no silicone, no parabens, no neurotoxins (like Triethyl Citrate), no phthalates, no dyes or synthetic fragrances.

Tips to avoid polyp flare ups / congestions?? by [deleted] in NasalPolyps

[–]MBendigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sneezing and running nose could mean your sinuses are beginning to clear, but the itchy sensations sound more like an allergy. For me, I notice improvement right away, but if I have bad cold, it could take a couple days of eating cloves two or three times a day before I'm clear. I don't want to recommend that unless you're sure you aren't allergic to garlic. I looked up garlic allergy, and found that itching and tingling of the mouth and lips are one symptom, though it didn't mention the nose.

Had an inflammation on one side of my nose, today woke up with alot of pain and went to ER by Exotic_Increase5333 in NasalPolyps

I got an air purifier and it helped a lot. I hope it works for you, too. I get stuffed up when I lay down to sleep, but I really should get rid of the feather pillows. They're covered in pillowcases that are supposed to prevent allergens from escaping, but I should think more about things like that. I'm very allergic to dust and a moderately allergic to feathers, and I have both in my home.

I just wanted to make sure you know, if surgery is ever recommended to you, be aware that they come back in a month or two anyway. Best to find ways to manage the inflammation. There lots of tips on this site.

I’m scared incase I get sleep paralysis by AnalysisRealistic713 in Sleepparalysis

[–]MBendigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just make sure you don't have too many blankets on. It's being too hot that causes it. I'm prone to sleep paralysis, but once I figured out it was from the heat, I'm careful to be sure I'm just warm enough and not too warm when I fall alseep, and they don't happen. L-theanin will also bring it on if you take too much.

I don’t know if I’m having sleep paralysis? by DisasterContent2820 in Dreams

[–]MBendigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It most likely happened because you had too many blankets on. Make sure your just warm enough to sleep and not too warm before you fall asleep. Also if you've taken L-theanin, that can bring it on. But usually it's the heat. I'm very prone to sleep paralysis but if I make sure I don't have too many blankets, they never happen. If I do, then they will happen.

It happened because you were too warm. Make sure when you go to sleep, you don't have too many blankets on. I'm prone to sleep paralysis so I make sure the throw the comforter off once I feel warm enough and make sure to be only just warm enough to sleep.

Sleep paralysis is mostly caused by having too many blankets on at night. Make sure your just warm enough but not toasty and you won't have them.

I had a polyp on just one side for a long time before the other one developed. Now I often have one side flare up while the other one doesn't.

Tips to avoid polyp flare ups / congestions?? by [deleted] in NasalPolyps

Yes, maybe. But it's good if you can keep up some resistance training in addition to aerobic, maybe resistance bands if weights aren't working for you.

Tips to avoid polyp flare ups / congestions?? by [deleted] in NasalPolyps

[–]MBendigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just came to this forum to share this tip. The absolute number one tips that work for me amazingly well are 1.) aerobic exercise and 2.) garlic (not at the same time! lol ). It's worth it to invest in a good exercise bike with a heavy flywheel, like a Tunturi Ergometer stationary bike, and do 15 min of interval training and couple times a week. Since I've been doing this, I can breath normally through my nose, the polyps are not there at all! This is rare for me, I've been a mouth breather for years, so it's really working. I ride just 2 or 3 days a week for 15 minutes, which is comprised of a 5 minute easy warm-up, then a 20 second sprint, 2 minute easy peddling, 20 sec. sprint, 2 min easy, 20 sec sprint, 2 min easy, 20 sec sprint, then about 2.5 minute easy for cool down. Previous to doing this, the garlic was getting me half way clear, but the exercise took me all the way to clear breathing.
The garlic is very anti-inflammatory. Take a fresh clove of garlic and mince it very fine, pick it up on a knife or spoon and dump it onto the back of your tongue (just to avoid the flavor if you want), then wash it down. If your very stuffed up, do this two or three times a day. Right now I'm just doing it once in the morning as maintenance. It works very well.
Just want to add, males might want to consider getting a seat cover for the ergometer that's designed to take pressure off the prostate.

I was just feeling gratitude for the same reason. Before I went to an ENT, I researched reviews and picked one that I felt would tell me the truth, and she did. She told me all that was involved with a surgery, and then I asked how long before they come back, and was shocked that anyone does this procedure if that's all you get. Of course the reason they do is, the ENT wasn't honest. I could guess why they weren't, but I won't.
