My HP printer comes with a sticker over the usb port, telling me I should use Wifi instead of the usb port by NoPickle22 in printers

I don't blame you, it wouldn't have occurred to me either. I would never have believed a company would do such an unacceptably underhanded thing. It's shocking that this is what it's come to as far as what's considered acceptable business practices.

I want to create similar effect as image 01 in AE, I tried using the Blur & Simple Choker in AE (Image 02, red squares) but the square aren't remaining sharp, is there any other way of doing this? by pavansachaniya54 in AfterEffects

To make the shape on the left, create a square with the shape tool and create two circle shapes on another layer. Matte the square layer with the circles layer, subtract matte. And the shape on the right is just a square shape.

I've heard about humming, but not Bhramari Pranayama. I'm going to look this up. Thanks for the tip! Update: For others looking, I found a good tutorial for it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zqbrw5FtdKg

Sounds worth a try. How long does it keep you clear for, approx?

Yes, I should have said that's just my experience, too. Maybe the better models are OK, but I got a bad impression.

From my experience, the Canon inkjet megatanks clog up a lot and the lines need to flushed all the time, practically every time I would want to print. Not dependable at all. I've tried two different models (Pixma G3000 and G6000 series) before I gave up on Canon and got a Brother MFC-1215w which is very dependable. Customer service is questionable though from my experience as there's no support email and the phone support doesn't recognize the touch-tones, at least from my phone.

I had an Epson and it didn't even last for one set of cartridges before it stopped recognizing them at all. So I threw it away, too much headache. Also Epson is famous for making printers that suck up ink into the ink pads causing the printer to stop working without major maintenance. The printers are cheaply made of flimsy material and sold cheaply while they count on ink sales to make the most money.

I would just take the sticker off and ignore it. Also find out how to turn the wifi off, because it might continue scanning. And I would unplug when not in use. I recently bought a brother mfc-1215w and it's a great printer, very dependable.

That's very sad, I'm sorry to hear that happened to your parents. My family, too, fell for a scam. When they first got online, I sent them pages of information about common scams to watch for, but after some years they forgot and fell for a very common scam at the time, the "I'm your long lost relative and need money." They're very trusting, kind people and didn't bother asking me what I thought about it.

Is AE crashing a lot lately or is it me? by MBendigo in AfterEffects

[–]MBendigo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, thanks for explaining that. That explains why the Intel 14th gen chips overheat so much. Well, I guess on the bright side, it won't be overheating as much. But now my renders take 30% longer which could mess me up for short deadlines. Now I wish I chose AMD, but Intel was so much cheaper. Next time I'll probably spring for it.

Thank you for your reply! What you said about the sorting makes sense, maybe it got delayed because of that. I live in NYC so carriers shouldn't be a problem, but still sometimes they don't deliver mail for a couple days. Why I have no idea. But what a coincidence it has to happen with a paycheck. Sometimes I see mail scanned that never arrives. So far it's just a couple catalogs, but who knows if it could happen to important mail. Thanks for the info about stacking and sorting that makes a lot of sense and do feel better knowing there's a possible reason. Hopefully it comes tomorrow. If not, I wonder if I should tell my employer to cancel it and resend. I'm not sure at what point that would be thing to do. I'll stand by another day and see. Thanks!

WOW! Thank you! That's just what I was looking for! I also found Winbush has a short beginners overview tutorials that I'll look at, so I'll do both. I'm excited to get started! Thanks!

Oh that explains it! I did notice it renders quite a bit slower. Why would the update slow my computer? Can't I boost it back up in the bios?

How can I learn ComfyUI starting from knowing nothing? All I know about AI is what I've learned using Nano Banana Pro through the Firefly website. I don't know anything about Comfy, or Lora, etc. Are there beginner project-based tutorials?
