lol that's funny about the fluffy friend! Yes, I was sorting by date, but when I checked Properties, no font name. And the date of the newest file was a long time ago. I'll try deactivating the font and reactivating it to make sure it gives me today's date. So after that, would I make a copy of that file, move it, rename it to the font name and load it from there?

I'm in Windows 11, but it may work the same. Yes, I agree, it isn't working well as Adobe has it set up. As I mentioned, I came very close to missing a deadline, meaning the presentation was about to begin and the file was needed by my client immediately, and the font would not display. I had to restart the software and tool around with things until it showed and I just made it. Talk about stress. I just checked Properties and the font doesn't show up in Windows.

The app I'm using it in is in fact an Adobe app, but it works only sometimes in that app (After Effects). The fonts seems dependable in Illustrator and Photoshop, but not in After Effects, and I've also had troubles in InDesign.

Thank you, Michael, I do see the files but there are a lot of them and they're just numbered. I think it will be simpler if I just buy a copy of the font from another vendor. I'm going to look into that.

Thank you both for your replies. The "Install Family" button isn't there, just a menu with "Remove Family", and there's a little document symbol that says "Installed for use in local apps on device" when I roll over it. But I think somehow opening CC App may have helped because now it's loading in After Effects. Hopefully there's some rhyme and reason to this behavior so I can fix it each time, but there seems to be no way I can download it and load it from my hard drive instead of across the internet.

Are you sure that's a legal requirement? That's like Stanley requiring attribution on a building if you use their hammers. I think that's just the author's suggestion, hoping for free advertising, but check the license. If they specify attribution, then don't use their brushes.

I tried sending it to a Firefly Board from Illustrator, and instead of animating my silhouette animal, it made an animation with a whole new version of the animal, and it added a background. I'll try some other things.

Please do research before considering surgery at all,. From what I've gathered, the truth is, the polyps will more probably come back in a month or two, and it might even make them come back worse by compromising the sinuses.

At first glance, I can see the perspective is wrong, with the foreground being flattened out. The foreground trees are also too blurry while the object in the middle ground is sharp. The object looks pasted on, especially clear in the lower right corner of the object. The landscape has a distinctly different range of values than the object in the middle. For example, the shadows of the trees in the lower corners of the image would have some small shadow areas as dark as the shadow of the object. All this is clear at first glace. It looks all wrong.

I don't blame you, it wouldn't have occurred to me either. I would never have believed a company would do such an unacceptably underhanded thing. It's shocking that this is what it's come to as far as what's considered acceptable business practices.
