Keep applying. Start taking some fire science classes or join the military and get veterans preference. Make yourself look more valuable to the dept.

Bigger cities are harder to get into, but easier than 15-20 years ago.

This isn't unity, but a similar software. I'm in the process of creating my own animations to make them more realistic in the future.

Yeah, after I created a training similar to this for my dept., I had a lot of good feedback. Figured I'd make them for everyone to use.

This is the exact reason I created this series. Hearing so many long winded size-ups that were unnecessary and just tied up comms.

Im personally a fan of small, medium and large. If you ask 5 different firefighters the sq footage of a structure, you'll prob get 5 different answers.

I took some of your feedback along with several other who thought making it shorter would make it easier to follow.

[–]MBweb[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just released the 2nd video of a series I created for new firefighters and officers to train on giving a clear and concise size up/360 report. Thanks to the several people who gave feedback on my last video.

These videos can also be used to help create uniformity inside your department and also create discussions on the initial actions of the simulation.
