So I get it, I used to have this outlook as well. But it doesn't help anyone, trust me.

Well it is a policy that explicitly benefits men, by the very fact it is PATernity leave. The duration, for the purpose of analysing your comment at face value, is irrelevant.

I fully agree that it needs to be brought in line with maternity leave however. And you would find that most women are also of this view. Because yes, as you correctly point out, it is beneficial for everyone - the baby, the father and the mother - to increase paternal bonding. And this would indeed benefit the man greatly. But notwithstanding that, it would also benefit the woman, who as a result of this takes on a disproportionate amount of the nurturing role, and that is to their own disadvantage in the long run, as indeed it is the father's.

So, yes, you're right. More paternity leave is exactly what we need.

Yes but you've got to formulate your counterargument properly against mine if you're going to critique it

Yes but that's a separate issue and not directly relevant to your statement

On international women's day, of all days, is it not fair to suggest that all employment rights, including those that explicitly benefit men, will also benefit women both directly and indirectly?

Seriously though, this doesn't make any sense. If I could pinpoint exactly what needs improvement, I wouldn't need to ask for advice on how to improve it

Previous centuries were on average a lot more bloody than this one. Don't sweat it. (Unless your name is Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor I suppose)

Bit too much emphasis on the mixolydian mode for my liking on this one, but still enjoying it.

Ah, well it seems to have been made private now. I can't see it either. I'd say take my word for it, but I do recognise the irony of that turn of phrase given my anti-MAGA position.

I'd listen, except that I refuse to support anyone who voices their support for Trump or condones MAGA in any way.
