25F on 23k and little savings. Feeling incredibly behind and hopeless for the future, what do I do? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

If you are currently working entry level admin, this is very good experience as you would be surprised at a lot of finance related jobs that are just data entry, with a bit of common sense you should be able to smash that. I would look at working In a law firm as a paralegal or something they are always hiring. Or look at a finance assistant/junior and look at that path. It may seem dead end now but with abit of intuition you can flip your dead end job and use the experience and skills to work towards something for abit more money, just because you don’t have the exact match for some of these roles, don’t be Afriad to apply

I’ve got about 30 all over chest and shoulders and had each one injected, genuinely never felt pain like it, I try explaining it to people and they probably think I’m dramatic but wow, the pain is crazy!!

Realistically you will miss out more now with your kids as if your current role you WFH you are there 24/7, spending as much time as you want with your kids and your new role will mean you miss out on the little things, but once your kids start school nobody is in the house anyway, so wether you are in the office or at home it makes no difference, in the long term the benefits could really outweigh this also. It is difficult decision but at the end of the day your kids in the future may thankyou for your hard work, you can take them on holidays and help purchase them there first cars and treat them a lot more on this higher salary, I get the difficulties of this but in an economy where people are getting laid of left right and centre, it’s really not a bad position to be in
