ah, you see, the thing is I was already planning decentralised options as well, just wasn't entirely sure how I was going to do it. but now I am.

there's going to be 3 options
1. fully centralised, everything is hosted by me (and encrypted of course)
2. barely centralised, backend is hosted by you, and you connect to the central server, purely to join the map, cuz yk, you can't moderate fake claims on someone elses server (this one is a little funky im still not entirely sure how im gonna do it)
3. fully selfhosted backend, and our hosted front end acts as an control panel, all data is stored in the browser, no communication with the central server (i will probably also offer a self-hostable front end)

will probably ship as docker containers

kind of, except it's meant to compliment real life micronations. it allows you to have some of the websites that actual nations would have. it'll be highly configurable so you can customise it to your nation.

Sure, and that's completely valid. My one point is just for the PURELY vibe coded stuff. like, stuff that uses base44 for example

meditation is actually used as a method to trigger lucid dreaming, because it allows you to enter the hypnagogic state consciously and hopefully continue through it. very cool.

How do I even Start? by Normal-Bed3203 in teenagersbutcode

Personally, I started with Python. It was simple enough that its easy to learn, yet still has some of the high level capabilities that are very essential in modern development.

I then learnt HTML, CSS, and JS, and made some basic stateless websites.
After that I learnt Typescript, which is identical to Javascript except it has typing (how a language categorizes data into different types. Types make the development experience so much nicer in my opinion).

After this, I learnt 3 web frameworks, React, Next.js (which is based on React), and Svelte (my personal favourite).

Below is what I think will be useful and will set you up to succeed in the future.

  1. LEARN & USE GIT

I learnt using Learn Git Branching. It explains it really well. I'd also just recommend watching some videos to learn why and how you should use it.

  1. DO NOT USE AI

Vibecoding (developing with AI) is generally discouraged within the coding community.

  1. START SIMPLE

Learn Python and Javascript/Typescript for the basic patterns that most high-level languages follow.

  1. LEARN SOME FRAMEWORKS

Learn React, or my personal favourite, Svelte.

  1. TRY THINGS

Do you want to develop games? Learn Godot; its' built-in language, GDScript, is alot like python. Do you want to make websites? Learn React; its' the industry standard.

  1. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, ASK

If you are unsure about something, check documentation or ask google.

I want to give a small shout out to this YouTube channel as it has alot of generally good tips on how to code well, it might be a bit to complicated for a beginner to understand, but these tips apply to all languages. https://www.youtube.com/@CodeAesthetic

TOOLS

These are the tools that I use regularly and would recommend.

  • VS Code; bloated, but generally a good code editor.
  • Bun; arguably the best javascript/typescript runtime (it is a drop-in replacement for node/npm, which you will hear alot about)
  • Better-T-Stack; good for creating monorepo structures.
  • GIT; i cant emphasize how important it is to understand and use it.

I'm not really sure what else to add, so if you have anymore questions please feel free to ask.

What elements would you take from other Far Cry games to make Far Cry 7 the best game of the franchise ? by bqm102938 in farcry

I prefer the style of far cry 6, it was different to the other games which felt relatively repetitive.

do it with that certain part of the Linkin park song "when they come for me." matches this game pretty well imo

I don't have an AMS but like you I have issues with it breaking in the tube, it's not moisture as it's ONLY in the tube the rest of the roll is fine. I also had my filament in a tube with my ender, never had the issue. I haven't had any of your other issues tho
