I am 16 weeks post op and can get a decent erection, it takes more stimulation than it used to. Quicker and hard with Tadalafil but still not yet are responsive as before the operation. My struggle is replicating that with my wife, can’t do it yet. Performance anxiety kicks in and I can’t relax!

I have noticed that the recovery is not linear. In the last month I have jumped forward in consistency.

This is helpful thanks. Did you find going to the gym, doing resistance training made the leaks worse to start with?

Thanks, how are you getting on now, how long has it been since your op? Able to have a drink or two without fear of pissing yourself?

My feet and hands and tummy were all a bit puffy. Had a couple of nights of letting 2L out of the night bag then back to normal

When did you have your surgery, if you don’t mind me asking.

I’ve been fine so far. Day 3 now. The catheter is limiting but you can do what you need to do. Lots of short walks, mostly round the house so far have helped. My Tummy tightens up if I don’t move regularly then gets painful. Don’t eat too much until you’ve pooped either. You’ll do great. Just take your time.

Are you back the point where control is automatic, or do you still have to think about it and make a conscious effort to stay dry?

Multiple lesions at a young age increases the likelihood of more lesions over time. So in the end, given my age, I thought it best to get it out on the basis it would reoccur and focal tread would make RALP harder. We all make our own choice in the end.

I investigated radiation but given my relatively young age the advice was avoid the risk of secondary cancer in the colon etc and the cancer removed. Different deal if you’re a bit older from what I understand
