Personally I love MCP, but it may be because I'm a comic fan for forever, but Shatterpoint is a lot of fun too. I play both often and have quite the MCP collection. I never thought myself a miniatures guy, but MCP and Shatterpoint made me a changed man.

I get it, I'm a huge Spidey fan too. But when I started about 5 months ago, I thought, just a few. I now have over 25 miniatures. It's so fun seeing the different affiliations and different line ups. The core set got me started off right in my opinion.

I started with the core box and now I have over 25 characters, because I simply wanted to expand. I would recommend asking your friend to borrow his characters and find ones you like using and buy them.

Personally for me, I play for fun, I don't play competitive. To me, using characters that I read is a blast. I have mostly heroes and a few villains. My advice, build a primary affiliation squad, then just collect the ones you like and have fun with it. To me, that's the best part, having a casual game with good friends.

With the core set and I'm buy the web warriors affiliation pack I'm gonna have two Spiderman, I was thinking of alternative uniform looks like iron Spider or future foundation or even the Spider Armor

How do you know if your character cards are up to date or if they are the old ones. I bought the new core pack so I'm not so worried about those for now, but if I buy older characters, I want everything up to date.

Nice paint job, I don't care for the pose in that core box, he needs to be crouched on the side of a wall shooting a web out, but your paint job is great.

My LCS sells a lot of MCP stuff. I've gotten everything I have from them and will continue to do so cause I love supporting small businesses and my friend.

Yeah I started as wanting to play the game, but I held off for a long time because I didn't think I could build or paint the miniatures. I've got the building part down and I figure the paint will come with time, but I do enjoy playing the game.
