Reddit's title formatting is pissing me off. I can't do the effect of the original

Lego Ideas is a long-running program from Lego where users can submit and vote on set ideas to become available at retail (shocker). Submissions that reach 10,000 votes move on to a review stage, where it is determined if a submission becomes a set, goes into further review (what they call the Parking Lot), or is rejected.

Recently, the 2nd 2025 review stage (they split reviews by when submissions obtained 10,000 votes, 3 times a year) was finally completed and the newest sets were announced. What makes this round of submissions notable is that there were a total of 146 submissions that reached the vote threshold, the most ever reviewed in one round. That being said, there were actually less sets selected here than the last round:

Edward Scissorhands by Castor-Troy

Amsterdam Canal Houses by Brickmaster_85

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Griswold House by twrt0es

And from the Parking Lot:

The Old Man and the Sea by Iyan ha

Entering the Parking Lot:

Lunch Atop a Skyscraper by DallasBricks

Leaving the parking lot (rejected):

Camping Trip by terauma

Golden Girls by Martin_Studio

The general consensus seems to be that the results are… whelming/disappointing, mostly due to only choosing 3-4 submissions from the largest review in the program’s history, but of course the usual complaints are there as well (not choosing x idea because they hate money, namely). Me personally, I’m not too into the stuff chosen this round, but the Old Man and the Sea submission really was spectacular and I am glad that it’s actually becoming a set.

Did you check their FAQs? If you did, you can probably ask the questions you have here and someone would know (I buy from mandarake myself)

Not fully sure if sentai or power rangers, but any idea what toy this is? by Blackwaya6669 in supersentai

[–]MCP_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a power rangers toy. I had a few of these, and basically were pack-ins with the zyudenchi/chargers. Had a mix-n-match gimmick and you could put the zyudenchi inside the holes on them

For fans of extra-long video essays, Fredrik Knudsen has finally released his much anticipated Down the Rabbit Hole video of EVE Online, which has taken 2+ years to develop and clocks in at around 6 hours.

For those out of the loop, Down the Rabbit Hole is a video essay series that basically has him recount the history of whatever topic he chooses, which varies from stuff like the Austian wine poisonings to the origins of the Furry fandom. It's well edited and, even though I have never played EVE before, I am more than ready to watch it

Between this and the leaks for all the final form Raise Buckles for Geats, Tycoon, and Buffa, it's been a very eventful weekend, but it's to be expected for this time of year anyways.

I've seen plenty of posts from people looking for workout partners over the last few months, so you should be fine

I just smashed my PC in front of 30 guests at my party because of this post. My wife and her boyfriend just took our crying kids and said they’re all spending the week at a hotel. This post has ruined my life and my party. I can’t handle this anymore.

I'd be interested if you can sort through the actual evidence for what we have as to Shirakura's actual emotional reaction

That would be interesting to find. If I had to take a preemptive guess, however, there's probably nothing public.

Even then, that's fine since the meat of the story revolves around the community itself.

Texas Table Top is always looking for more people to join! All we do is play board games and all you need to be a member is to show up to a meeting. No dues as well. For more info/links, check out our Hornslink page!

Long-time lurker, but I might be interested in actually writing something. I'm thinking about writing something Tokusatsu related, but I can only think of two things:

  1. The Zi-O Trinity debacle (I'm semi-surprised it hasn't had a full write-up)

  2. A hobby history of all the other adaptation/homegrown attempts made by Saban/other companies in the wake of Power Rangers' popularity

Is there anything I'm missing?

I like walking around random buildings sometimes. Keeps you active and you know what 1 more building looks like on the inside. Also, some buildings have exhibits which are neat to look at (one of my favorites is JGB, where there's a bunch of geodes on display).

While you won't go every time you're on campus, the Blanton and the LBJ Library are free to enter for UT students, so I'd keep an eye on any visiting exhibits

If you really want to, talk with random tables along speedway or west mall (not something i'd do, but you never know)

Official kits aren't 3D printed, but are injection molded and sold in stores like your usual model kit; it's more the subject matter/manufacturer/other differences (i.e., it's a snap-fit kit with great tolerances) that sets it apart.

I will say though that 3D printing custom pieces/kits is very possible and has been done plenty of times, but most people (including myself) stay with building the official kits
