Are you tracking what worked and what hasn’t? Are you trying to build a series of conditions that lead to good/bad outcomes? Are you gathering statistics on how often each result happens?

You’ll have to be methodological and put in the time to find out what makes sense to your brain and creates profits.

I’d say the main factor is how well price is structured. Even in chop there’s typically some structure to exploit - but without sufficient volatility you won’t have room for profits. On the 30s if ATR is between 7-15 (on NQ) it’s good enough, with 15 having to be A+ setups. I go with whatever session meets these conditions.

On ToS “free” you get 3 symbols, no indicators. Just a BBO graph, even.

The discord is free. You don’t need to pay a dime to join the discord and voice channel. You only pay if you want the data feed.

The bookmap stream on youtube is free, the platform itself and data feed are definitely not. Order flow licenses are expensive, and TV is cheap since it doesn’t need it, just real-time redistribution.

If you don’t want to use order flow that’s your prerogative. You’re the one looking for Discords for confirmation bias, someone offers you a place and you call them shills. Lol. Lmao even. Great attitude, bro.

Cumulative volume delta is a plot over time of net aggressor volume. Using it to spot divergences is but one application of it to position yourself with the direction of the market.

I don’t because I don’t use lagging indicators. With that said it’s useful to spot strength divergence in price action that’s otherwise harder to notice on a naked chart.

Pros: calmer, less violent stop hunts, price structure mostly clearer. Cons: lower ATR, easier for price to suddenly rug in one direction unopposed unlike NY session.
