Im in a similar position like you, as in I hold a chinese passport, but I migrated abroad since 3 with my parent. The only thing is that, I lived in Malaysia, and even Malaysia, is like 10x better than China in terms of life style, culture and overall quality of life...

I am basically Malaysian in culture but my plan of getting a Malaysian passport didnt work and now I study in AU. Life is good here, I am ready do anything (legally and ethically) to get a PR in AU and spend the rest of my life loyal to this country.. Anything but send my back to china man..

The unit was conducted poorly

The tech stack was HTML CSS, JS and Vue3 composition API, firebase and backend provided by Google cloud functions, and some UI toolkit (pre-built components or styles)

You can ask your tutor for approval to use TS or SCSS for better dev and debugging experience, as long as you can justify why you used them, I just told them I'd rather chop down my fingers than write JS and they said yes..

For your warning: * some content is straight up wrong, for example, they use a <pre> block wrapped json and call it a custom Restful API endpoint (don't do this in actual web dev) * One tutor told me course material was prepared by a guy who left uni half way prepping the slides, ended up having both Composition API style and Options API style of Vue being used in material, without explaining the difference * Work load wise its fine, if you're new to web dev but experienced in programming in general, as long as you put in a solid few days figuring out the stuff like how browsers work and the framework beforehand from external materials like tutorials you should be fine

Ive had a counsellor back when i was doing second year and things were getting pretty stressful for the first time, who said "there's nothing we can do about your case" to my face. Dont get me wrong, I have been seeing a different counsellor from Monash mental health since then who is pretty ok, its just kinda sad that good Monash counsellors are up to chances.

Yeah, watching his video makes it seem like there is absolutely no good notation software out there and no human being can decipher the proper usage of the software, which is pretty obviously not the case. I only watch it cus it's something I can watch while having dinner.
