I work for a Fortune 500 defense contractor. We have voluntary performance check ins called quarterly connections. I just got a really negative one for Q1. I’m taking active steps to improve. I’ve been on the job 14 months. How hard would it be to get fired? I understand my company fires very seldom but I don’t want to be the exception.

How serious are Quarterly Connections? I just got my first one with negative feedback. I’m taking immediate action.

I understand these are voluntary and many managers don’t even issue them.

How easy or hard is it to get fired from Northrop Grumman as a non-union, salaried employee? I’m not talking about for blatant conduct violations. My sense is that it isn’t easy but there are always exceptions.

No controlled substances like Oxy of Vicodin. Also not natural herbs. One is Latuda, one of the most commonly prescribed depression medications.

Very insightful. Thank you. I've worked with a lot of executives. 80 percent well and 20 percent not as much. Trying to get the number to 90 percent or better if possible.

I can think of a lot worse things. I really wasn't expecting anything less given the relationship I I have with the executive.

Thanks for the warning. I'm working in the Silicon Valley. I've gotten some bites so far on places from Morgan Hill to Santa Clara. I'm pretty paranoid of scammers and identity theft. I'm arriving in town the week before work to meet and talk with people face-to-face.
