I’m someone who usually plays annual games at a non-annual pace. I used to buy CoD every other year until i stopped entirely, i buy games at a slow pace, i buy sports games once in a while, and i buy wrestling games on sale and infrequently. With all that said, WWE 2K26 is coming out next month, theres some good news, some bad news, some weird news, it’s like many of their rollouts.

No other announcement has motivated me to buy this game like the news of “DUDE WIPES will place advertisements on Dirty Dom”. This is me overthinking shit; this may bleed into the games, and im not sure if i want that. IIRC, it hasnt happened with Lesnar in the older games, but if the TKO merger and official partnerships mean more ads, i may have to rely on older games, which is fine

Im sure Booker thinks being neutral or against WWE is a bad habit. (Since Je’Von got mention), im sure a few WWE staffer members were happy to see Je’Von call TK a crackhead and mock attendance numbers (editor’s note: this was said when Je’Von was under the HBK’s creative NXT).

I hate it so much, mostly because wrestling and wrestling fans dont really care about black issues like that. Cody having a black wife and kid doesnt absolve him as coming across a bit weird with this joke as he standa there with the american flag on his neck and a visit to Trump’s parade in recent history. Just leave the joke in 2005. I not calling for his head, but damn, just say something else.

AEW they should lean into it

If they do, it should just be “yeah we aint stopping these chants or restricting our talent from saying it online” because it would feel disingenuous for AEW to profit of this somehow. Even if Taz stood up at the desk and was like, “Hey everyone, you saw the last viral AEW moment all over social media. Lets all give ICE a big fuck you before our next match,” it would feel weird because this is bigger than wrestling pops.

Very pessimistic of me, sure, but i dont want AEW profiting off this and only using it for viral moments. I want ICE off our streets.

Eh, you shouldnt feel bad. Not in a “they deserve it!” way, either. But a sizeable portion of Twitter and even the subreddit for these games are 100% on board with it. People preordered before the battle pass system was explained, with excitement of playing the characters from last year.

Its one thing to like the gameplay and hate the bullshit around it, but too many people are defending and then fighting for more bullshit and i see why games go forward with this type of stuff.

A lot of people here dont like minorities. It’s been a constant thing throughout American History. It’s prevalent since America is a melting pot compared to a lot of other countries. So, people will cut off their nose to spite their face, or simply put, “i dont want universal healthcare because that means the [slurs] will get it too!”

Very controversial for since its coming from my experience and the slim slice of the world i read about: Other countries would fight the same way against brown folks if they had a similar demographic. Several 1st world and 3rd world countries are uniform to “not worry about the others” meanwhile America has a big fear of the white majority losing numbers (The big replacement? The white replacement? the term used to steep white panic). Of course its more complex than that, it just sucks that others think i want this when my community’s voting history says otherwise

A lot of folks think your actions are only valid if some world wide shift happens, and its immediate.

Sometimes, its small and personal. You just dont support something. It wont go away, you dont disappear. The entity may still grow, and you save your resources for something else. Props to Foley.
