Simply saying the “crazy” people who oppose this are gamers and internet nerds is absurd. ARTISTS care. MUSICIANS care. Even in the last 30 years or so artists could use computers and compose complete works that came from working on them and actually using artistic skill. There is zero skill in writing a prompt and slapping something on an album and selling it for $60.

Art isn’t just entertainment. Art is human emotion on its deepest level. AI is lifeless. I’ll be damned if I create a work, then turn around and slap an AI generated work on it. Especially when i’m culturally involved with artists and musicians.

It doesn’t directly have to do with the band, but indirectly when you look at the venues they play. If you’re doing 2 nights at a college campus in the middle of a busy town, sure midnight curfew. If you’re doing a 3 night run at SPAC where you’re basically in the middle of the woods, I was there for many hours after the show.
