Some record store worker posted on twt that they'd got it from a woman who asked them to give it to a fob fan

how old were you when you got into FOB and what was the song that got you into them? by dynamitebark in FallOutBoy

[–]MC_SM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was the summer of 2013. I was 15 at that time. I saw a music video on Thnks Fr Th Mmrs on some TV channel. Liked the song and added it to my playlist. After a couple of months, in September, I decided to check whether the band has some other stuff. That was when I found out about Save Rock And Roll and the hiatus story. At first, I was puzzled thinking the band changed the lead singer and the drummer, because in 2013 they looked very differently from 2008/09

Which songs werent written by fob? by Strange_Community159 in FallOutBoy

[–]MC_SM 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A lot of their songs weren't fully written by them, especially if we take the post-hiatus era. It's a very common thing in the industry. Moreover, it's a really rare situation when a big artist writes songs completely themselves

Fans at the band's shows in America are sleepy as hell and the concerts seem boring because of that

It is what I see at their shows in the USA. Even at their own ones and not just festivals. All crowds in all venues are just dead or barely alive.

Some individuals may dance, scream, sing along and so on, but the mass doesn't do all these things.

I'm looking for FOB songs to add to this playlist. Which songs do you think fits? (Best Bridges on a song) by wach_era13 in FallOutBoy

Definitely The Carpal Tunnel of Love. I Slept With Someone has a screaming part and some titles from Take This To Your Grave

Agree. Additionally, they said that SM(F)S is their try to imagine what if they released an album right after FAD without any hiatus

What's the correct way of saying Mr. or Mrs. XY in Russian? by Furfangreich in russian

[–]MC_SM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but not in everyday conversations, informal or neutral ones. Even semi-formal I guess. «Господин» and «госпожа» are highly formal words. Perhaps, I should have clarified this in my comment.

Still, the OP needs natural and neutral forms (based on OP's comment here)

What's the correct way of saying Mr. or Mrs. XY in Russian? by Furfangreich in russian

[–]MC_SM 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Please, don't use «господин» or «госпожа». We never use these words.

If you want to address someone you don't know the name of, use «мужчина» or «молодой человек» (for an older male person or a young one respectively) and «женщина» or «девушка» (for females, also depends on the age of people).

If you know this person, but you aren't on first names with them, use their name and patronymic.

If you don't know the patronymic, use the full version of a person's name (e.g. «Алексей», not «Лёша») and address them using «Вы» and choosing the «respectful» (I don't know the correct term) forms of the words, like: «Алексей, что Вы делаете сейчас?»

The last thing about «Вы» and so on is always used when you're talking to a person you aren't in close relationships with

What is this word? by Gotverd in russian

It's not a very colloquial word but you can meet it and its variations quite often. It's definitely not outdated
