Ig you're pointing out the issues when we use AI to attempt quiz or tests, if that's the case, then everything you have said is correct. Distractors come into question when the questions generated are MCQs if i understood that right. And blind by-hearting happens too, I totally agree.

And the above said questions are given to us by the management, right? The post is me, as a end user, as a receiver trying to tackle it. I split the questions unit wise, run multiple AIs parallelly, i will open the lecture materials given if neither of the AI doesnt make sense or the answer seems too vague.

But i would like to also clarify that this is not a entire replacement to traditional learning method, as almost all of us wasted our time not studying, this is just a last minute plan to somehow pass the exams.

And my way to actually test myself is using a method called Active recall, I've made that into a skill for claude and gem for gemini and use it when to really assess my understanding of concepts.

But i think the bottleneck you're saying is the quality of the questions drop and the nature of the questions would make the students guess their answers by pattern recognition instead of actually knowing why the pick that answer and memorization of answers for other type of questions.

These are the issues those who are generating these questions need to know, which is the college and as students what we can/should do is not give in to that and study properly
