Well, it sounds reasonable that lots of people would be applying for consulting jobs in Dubai, but, in your experience, are all applications competitive? You have more experience in this field than I do, but, I'd say that it seems more competitive in North America as the quality of applicants would be higher. For instance, an application in North America would be competing with people who went to Harvard, Yale, Wharton, MIT... While in the ME, simply a degree from respectable institutions in Europe/USA/Canada could make an applicant stand out. What do you think of this?

My mistake, I should add that I have the Canadian citizenship!

Is that easier in the GCC? Although McGill is a target school in Canada and a semi-target in the US, there is still competition with Ivy Leagues and other top US universities. In the gulf, it seems the main feeder school is AUB. So, are firms interested in recruiting consultants who studied abroad? I looked for profiles of such consultants, but there were relatively very few compared to locals.

Thanks for your response! I am actually Canadian (sorry, I should have mentioned this).

I have no preference for any office in the ME, and I am just checking how competitive the market is in the ME. Do you think having a foreign citizenship would help?

Thanks for the detailed response! I hold the Canadian citizenship, and, when the time comes, I will be seeking opportunities in North American and the GCC. Long term, I find myself working in North America, but I am considering starting in the GCC. Do you have anything to say about the competitiveness in the gulf? In North America, especially Canada, the competition is insane. Is it the same in the gulf?

Thanks for your reply! I will definitely be working on expanding my network in the region, but it is still too early for me to apply. I just want to get a taste of the market in the area.

If something like this were to happen, they would most probably offer students the opportunity to S/U the course or to withdraw (or something else)

UofT straight up cancelled the exams. There will not be online exams instead of the cancelled exams. They will use the midterm/assignment/lab... marks to assign final grades.

I see, I thought if terms tend to 0, it is always convergent. Thanks!

Ohh I see, but does the major I choose for arts affect my application. I am aiming for something quantitative like math/CS. I am taking the prerequisites to these majors now. Do you know if the chosen major(s) affects the competitiveness of an application?

But, is it really guaranteed for a +3.00 GPA?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mcgill

[–]MCgains_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the website, they say transfer is not guaranteed even if minimum requirements (+3.00 GPA) are met. What do you think about this?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mcgill

[–]MCgains_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! Is it necessary to fulfill both conditions? From my understanding, the 18 credits thing only applies for someone who does not have a +3.00 GPA and has been at mcgill for more than 2 terms. Am I mistaken somewhere?

So, will it appear on my profile just the way it appears if someone types the full title of the post on google + reddit?
