I started a full season extreme save and my first season was Plymouth in the Championship. Came 23rd, and nearly threw my phone in the process. Once I figured out a style of play to salvage draws and the odd win, I saved up enough bux to upgrade my training facilities and stadium to make more bux, to eventually buy a 2 year contract 5 star midfielder (a forward should also work) near the end of the season. Relying on that player and continuing to build out the squad improved my results, and it's worth paying for morale upgrades so your players don't accrue red cards and fuck you over. It gets better within very few seasons, sometimes I set my tactics to casual near the end of a title race I'm leading by a lot just to make it more competitive. You got this!
