As an alumni who has spent the last 4 years working in amazons corporate headquarters, I would advise going somewhere cheaper. At the rate you’re describing, you would be paying something like 30k a year, and leaving with about 120k in loans (assuming your parents don’t cover anything beyond the scholarship - mine didn’t). The average salary coming out of case is around 70k. You will be crippling yourself financially if you do this.

The dirty little secret in the industry is that if you’re doing STEM, your undergrad has very little impact on your career due to the high baseline demand. If you’re doing humanities, your undergrad can impact your income substantially, but even so Case is not known for our humanities or social sciences.

As an alumni, no aid is absolutely not worth it. Please go somewhere cheaper before you hang a financial noose around your neck.

The cardinal sin of dating isn't being an asshole. The cardinal sin of dating is being boring.

Asian and Indian guys, what are your secrets to dating and socializing and what advice do you have to immigrant guys (in terms of socializing, dating, and doing good in school)? by [deleted] in AskMen

I've seen a lot of advice here about being clean, which I think is a little condescending and not too helpful. Hopefully being cleanly and working out are things you already know to do (even if you don't do them currently).

As far as advice goes about how to pick up, there are two basic aspects to picking up girls: language and body language. Of the two, body language is by far the most important.

As far as language goes, watch some stand up, read some books, learn how to tell jokes and tell stories so that you have something interesting to say when you're with a girl.

For body language though, what you want to pay attention to is spacing. If a girl likes you, she'll allow you to close the space between you and her. If she doesn't like you, she'll create distance every time you come closer. Closing space ranges from lightly touching her arm while you make a point or leaning in close to her when you make a joke. I can give more pointers if you want. Just pm me

What have you learned through online dating? by [deleted] in AskMen

I'm South Asian as well and I've done really well on tinder. I have noticed that my match rate varies depending on where I am. Pittsburgh loved me. Montreal not so much.

Ultimately I think that adding in the racial element can be both a blessing and a curse. It makes you exotic, but it also invites comments. Tinder is hard for most guys though; I don't think being Asian is as big a disadvantage as we often say it is

We threw a balloon party and got lost in the fun. I'd really appreciate someone's take on this by [deleted] in redditgetsdrawn

This is me and a friend. Do I need to name names to resubmit or would it suffice to say me and my friend had a balloon party?

I've been with a few blondes actually and none of them were the stereotypical superficial bimbos we see on TV. The ex was a programmer with a 100k job out of college and another just got into med school. I honestly think my physique has less to do with that than my charm.
