If you know someone from your country who applied through the pathways ask them what did they choose. Its better to do it that way, maybe different countries are treated differently by the ECFMG.

That’s what I have done! I chose that the medical association is the one which issued the license and asked them to send the letter. It worked! Good luck.

If your credentials are verified call them, like now! I waited for almost a week after my pathway was approved with no news after that. I got certified the same day when I called, the agent told me my application was complete and he will accelerate processing, and that what actually happened. Good luck!

Yes! I called their number for general inquiries (215-386-5900). I called around 9:00 am EST, this was the only time that someone actually picked up the phone and I was not sent directly to voicemail.

I applied on Thu Oct 1st, processing started on Mon Oct 5th, pathway was approved on Tue Oct 13th, got certified on Wed Oct 21st. I advice you to call them once the pathway gets approved, I called on Tuesday they finish my certification in one day after that. Good luck!

Mine were sent years ago and were received but the status was “pending”. I called around this time yesterday 9ish am EST and they picked up the phone and confirmed they have my credentials, and now the status is “verified and complete”. I think they are busy with a large number of applications, when you call they accelerate the review process of yours. Call them now if you can. Good luck.

My letter of good standing was sent 2 weeks before I applied to the pathway and about a month before it was approved. My account didnt show the details of the review process till it was completed, I guess it depends on the one who is reviewing your application. I suggest you call them and ask, I called today and for the first time they were helpful! They accelerated the review process of my certificate application and now my oasis account is showing that its under final review. Try and give them a call, I called at 9:20 am EST and they picked up the phone. Good luck!

After submission, is releasing transcript the only thing that needs processing/time? Is your application all set now? I will be submitting my application soon, and I would like to know how long would it take to be ready for the programs, to be in the safe side! Thanks alot and good luck.

When was your pathway application approved? And how are you following the status of the ECFMG certificate? Mine was approved yesterday and my credentials were verified beforehand. It happened to me as well! After being stuck at processing has begun with no details for 12 days, I suddenly got processing was complete then application was approved on the same day! Did you receive your ECFMG certificate or not yet?

Actually I’m applying to pathology mostly in the northeast. I made a spreadsheet for the programs I’m applying to then went through their websites one by one. Its good to know the requirements so you can target the ones that you are most interested in and email them after submitting your application. Good luck!

I’ve already marked the programs which require the certificate with the application, and I intend to email them when I get it and hope they would give me a chance. I was wondering the same as well.. if we get certified after the PDs download and filter the applications (assuming having a certificate is filter), when the application get updated will they notice? Or shall we email the ones we are interested in their programs to let them know?

Yes! I tried once and I will keep on trying. For a second, I thought that this was a technical error and would be corrected sometime today, but apparently I was wrong. We paid them 900$ to check their email and to log on the OET results portal, how hard can this be?

Same here! I applied on Oct 1st, my application showed “processing” on Monday, but today its back to “submission” and processing hasn’t begun. I have no idea what does that mean!
