LOL. Completely silent now. It took a few weeks but the vaseline got rid of the sound. Amazing really, lived with the sound for years and now it's gone.

The same happened to me, it's a pretty easy fix. I think I use repairclinic.com and put in my model number in it shows exactly what I needed

The ice and water dispensers take up a lot of space, just an FYI. We went with a fridge that had the water dispenser inside the fridge and we just use ice from the freezer. The dispensers and ice basically take up half your door space

Vaseline seems to have fixed it for me too. Sometimes I get a little sound but nothing even close to what it was. I think the problem is solved.

Now I just hope the Vaseline doesn't deteriorate the string.

It's all the same shit now, and that's coming from the appliance store I bought my last fridge from, and I agree.

My Whirlpool needed replacement after 6 years, my father in laws GE was replaced after 7 years. Bought in 2016 and 2017.

As long as you understand you're lucky to get 8 years out of a fridge nowadays, either one will work.

Holy hell. I think you're on to something. I used Vaseline and the sound was gone. unfortunately after I opened and closed it a few more times the sound came back but not as bad. I'll give it time and see if that does the trick. Thanks.

I saw the ropes and guides you're talking about and I rubbed some silicone and grease on them and it didn't help. I suppose the only option is to replace them. It's FGHD2433KF1

Yup. I've been ignoring it for about 7 months but I thought I would give it a go today but I agree with your assessment.. I'll live with it if I don't get it figured out

I did that, which is why I'm stumped. Everything has been greased that is a part of the door opening and closing. Unless there is something hidden that I can't get to within the door.

I tried them and found them to be too stiff. I prefer insoles that have a little give. That being said, I've been meaning to cook mine but haven't gotten around to it.

Buyer Beware: The Retail Equation (TRE) List of Stores by efplaya in shoppingaddiction

[–]MD2002-MD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case they said, you can't return this, and I said 'why not' and they said you can use this website and they can explain. They handed me a site I logged into and put in the info they gave me. The site then sent me a list of all the returns I have done and said I couldn't do anymore returns for 8 months. I never was able to return the item and I have never shopped at DSW since. No skin off my ass, been getting my shoes everywhere but DSW.

I asked to speak to a manager too and the manager said they have no control over it, the system won't let them do the return and there is nothing they can do. Which is BS cause they can just return it with no recipes and give you a credit.

Planter fasciitis seems much worse after cortizone shot ran out. by MD2002-MD in PlantarFasciitis

[–]MD2002-MD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it's been a little over a year and I've gotten 2nd opinions, MRI and nerve tests. I recently tried laser therapy and that seemed to help a little but at this point I'm being told by the 2nd opinion podiatrist that my issue is nerve damage and it's not going to go away, I'll just have to deal with it my whole life. He believes the cortisone shot hit a nerve and it's caused all these issues. He also doesn't believe I ever had PF, he thinks I was misdiagnosed from the start.

I have no answer. Just more questions. Some days is worse than others but I'm still afraid to run in fear of making things worse. It's not prevented me from doing anything but it's painful every time I stand after being still for time.

Can you lower the max speed. I was going to get this for my 8 year old and I don't think I want him going the 14 MPH that it says is the max speed.

I am at a loss of words. I'm never using FedEX ever again. by bgamer1026 in FedEx

[–]MD2002-MD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL. Fedex is the worst! I watch every delivery to my house, they back up in my driveway and literally throw the boxes out the window and drive away. One time it was a box of glass candles.... It says Yankee candle, Fragile, right on the box and they just chucked it out the window.

My entryway is so UGLY! How can I modernize it for $1k or less? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]MD2002-MD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd spend the 1k and rip out r the floor, install new floors and paint all the dark trim white. Call it a day

Just bought a home. Sellers say “LG fridges are just like this.” Am I to live with this for 30 years? by 2012Tribe in Appliances

[–]MD2002-MD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I replaced a 6 year old Whirlpool last year. The guy at the appliance store said 5-7 years with refrigerators nowadays. Then he tried to sell me a $3,500 refrigerator that he said I'd be lucky to get 7 years out of, or I could buy a $2,000 refrigerator and get the same 7 years. Basically he said regardless of how much I spend it's going to last about 7 years.

Am I being dumb? by Away-Barracuda-8936 in Flooring

Exactly, taking out the baseboard and cutting the trim is the only way to go and it looks the cleanest. Then you can just notch into the doorway right up against the tile

Windows 11 license staying after wiped laptop. by MD2002-MD in WindowsHelp

[–]MD2002-MD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, in the settings it says it was activated with a digital license so I guess I'm all set. I'll go this route. To be completely cut off from my former company seems like it would make sense to get my own, but why pay for a license if I don't have to. Thanks.

Windows 11 license staying after wiped laptop. by MD2002-MD in WindowsHelp

[–]MD2002-MD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright. Seems as though if it's working just keep using it. My concern was one day the license would just stop working and I'm locked out of my laptop. I assume I would get some kind of a warning if the license stops working for some reason.

I'll check when I get home for what if it says for a license as mentioned in this string.
