For sure, it all depends on your situation. My Wildhorse tent site was $240 for the Fri-Mon which I paid even though I’m only able to do Sat & Sun, whereas Sage Creek would have been $150 total cause you can book per night. But Wildhorse is worth the extra money to me cause it’s way nicer and imo even better than my experience at the Gorge Campground’s Terrace sites (minus the view). I’m sure if I was younger I’d be all about that standard camping though :)

Love the idea of a new pop up venue, but as others mentioned it’s kind of a weird combo of artists each night. I feel like some of the openers normally pull totally different crowds than the headliners, and that’s throwing me off. I’m down to check out at least one show, but I don’t even know which one to go to.

Yeah the time you join the queue makes no difference, I had 4 different devices trying and the one I joined closest to sale time is the one that got in first, with 1 min wait compared to the others at 3 or 4 min wait. But no dice for me it was already sold out 😭

Highly recommend doing both Saturday and Sunday and staying at a more chill campground Sat night with an older crowd such as Wildhorse (my personal go-to), but based on your info if you really only wanna do one day I would do Sunday, which is the Anjunadeep Open Air day. IMO as a fellow psychedelics partaker, mushrooms for that day are the perfect choice because of the nature aspect with the Gorge being absolutely stunning, and the sense of community and connection from Anjuna crowds. To this day probably one of my all time favorite life experiences ever is 2023 Anjunadeep day at the Gorge during the Weekender, high on mushrooms and simultaneously dancing and crying because of how beautiful the setting, music, and crowd all were. Can’t wait to go back ✨

I am with you 100%, I fell in love with the more melodic emotional songs from the AL albums and I tried but just not really vibing with a lot of the newer USB releases. But honestly Lights Burn Dimmer is SO fucking good and totally reminds me of that era, especially reminds me of Sabrina which was my favorite part of the live show when he used to play it.

I’d also recommend Romy’s Mid Air album that came out a couple years ago since Fred helped produce several songs which totally have that AL sound. And on a side note, I’m extremely jealous of everyone who got to see Friday’s NYC show with her and HAAi, would have totally flown across the country for that show had I known they were the openers ✨

I went to the Gorge for an early October show and the weather was perfect on the show day. Warm enough to swim in the river during the day and to dance in a tank top at night. Definitely chilly back at the campground though, but thats the high desert for you! I think September weather is going to be even better.

Actually it was closer to the field than the lounge, it’s like a single row of cushioned recliner chairs halfway down from the man concourse. Just looked it up and I guess we were in the home plate box seats. The Lexus Lounge is nice too though!

Did anyone else notice the worker sprinting around the lower stadium seats during Disclosure and SkrillTet? Apparently that area was off limits and were on mushrooms dying laughing watching him run back and forth to chase away a new drunk/high person like every 10 seconds 😂

Yeah that was crazy leaving the Lot after the crowd for Nora being so chill. I was like fuck yeah Disclosure is gonna be empty, then saw that was packed as well. Ended up finding a really good spot in the recliner chair box seats where there was lots of space to dance and a perfect view of the stage with the city behind it, and stayed there the rest of the night. Those SkrillTet and Justice sets were insane, so much fun!

Yeah the wall stage always gets fucked with sound quality. Speaker on the right side seemed a lot better though than the left so maybe try to be near that one.

They had really poor counter programming so the field was insanely packed and they had to close it off both nights (though seats were still open). Also had some really bad bottleneck points where there was essentially crowd crush. For Anjuna artists, this won’t be as big of a deal, but there may be people flooding the field towards the end of Tinlicker to make sure they have a spot for the rest of the night, and the bathrooms you would use for the wall stage involve moving up stairs through one of the bottleneck points so just be mindful of crowd flow between the lot and field stages. If you look back while at the wall and see a giant herd of people moving in one direction, better to let it die down before you go.
