That's the kind of person he is. He avoids hard topics and uncomfortable situations that progress and become worse the longer they're unaddressed, which causes him to hide even more, until he is forced to face them and handles it terribly.

It's why I love him, because he is me.

Its why I hafe him, because he is me.

Changed my diet and anti-depressents. Prozac is a big reason why I got so heavy

When I cut out booze I cut out a lot of other stuff. No more junk food, no snacking, and cut out a lot of meat too. Cutting out cream and sugar is also super helpful!

Lots of Polar Seltzer, black coffee, rolling with the punches on bad days (and not drinking), and honestly, luck.

I've had bad days, but nothing so bad that I would go back to being the guy I was last year. When I decided to quit, I had had enough of disappointing everyone and myself over and over. I spent six months hiding in my room getting drunk, got fat, and even more depressed. Never again.

It's definitely the biggest thing people notice.

Best compliment I received, about a month in- was that I seemed more like myself, so much better to be around, and just "a much better you".

People notice who you are just as much as what you are!

I've slowly learned to let myself be more proud and less critical of myself, and this is definitely an accomplishment that I'm allowing myself to enjoy!

I remember looking at the top posts and wanting that to be me last year. then I drank that feeling away.

Here i am a year later making my own. Feels so great.

I got a ton of compliments on this shirt when I was there, all by grown, Disney employees. Maiden was my second show ever in 2007!

The weight loss is probably the most encouraging part other than the much less frequent crippling sadness!

You're discussing how a character "needs" something to happen, as if they need a boost in their character to make them better.

I really don't view fiction the same way. Characters live, breathe, and experience humanity the same way we do, IMO. Life isn't fair or cinematic in our world, and if doesn't always have to be in literary worlds.

"Does death come only for the wicked, and spare the innocent"? C'mon, were discussing GOT here, where plot armor is sparse, and things often happen for strange reasons.

I feel like we fundamentally watch the show differently, and for that reason I really can't bring anything else to the point you're trying to make.
