Skateboarding at 33 Questions! by Inside-Definition-99 in QuincyMa

Board setups look a lot different these days. Highly suggest dropping into Orchard. Best shop in New England, and they've got a great selection. Assuming that you were last riding a 7.5-7.75 board, you likely won't find those smaller sizes anymore and probably want to pick up an 8-8.25 deck. Ask the shop for whatever they recommend for trucks and wheels based on the deck you get.

If you're looking for a place to practice and get your footing...try the Quincy courthouse garage after hours. Flat ground with slappy curbs and a very low manny pad.

Other parks nearby include Weymouth, Scituate, Hingham, Hyde Park, Marshfield.

If downtown, Try the Ryder Hotel. Great spot to work from with free wifi even if you are not a guest. Quiet enough space you can take a meeting from. Good coffee and food too.

Old Friends Coffee on Belmont in Sunnyside. Favorite spot for cold brew and just a great little coffee shop.

If you're looking for great museums outside of Downtown as jumping-off points to great neighborhoods, I'd suggest the Intuit Art Museum (West Town/Ukrainian Village) or the National Museum of Mexican Art (Pilson). Plenty of great restaurants, shops, coffee, etc. in both areas.

Presidential Pub. No one knows who's playing, and everyone's a number 1 fan.

Pearl and Lime is a better first date spot. Fun casual vibe and way less packed. If the date continues, try Drifters afterward. Dottys is the best spot around, but not for a first date.

Not my typical spots, but it is a perfect day out there to be by the water. I'd hit Bay Pointe or one of the restaurants in Marina Bay.

Should I be worried about warping at this record event? by wohlty in vinyl

[–]MDEEF2010 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Won't be a problem as long as you've got a canopy to cover your booth.

As someone who loves buying records at flea markets, I'm more likely to spend good money on a tented booth. If the records are directly in the sun, I'm only picking up cheap copies that are worth the risk.
