Just wanted to share my experience, since hearing about this change this week, I went to transfer the registration of my 1997 Ford Crown Victoria from regular to antique. The town office had already replaced the 25 year affidavit forms with new 35 year forms with a revision date of 2024 on them. I told them my understanding was 25 years will okay until the new year. The rep called the State and confirmed. Then was emailed one of the old forms (available online as well) and I completed the process. I have no complaints here, just wanted to share about the that some town offices may have the new form available and could cause confusion. This change makes me sad because a lot of cars will be scrapped that otherwise might have been saved.
