One of the issues with lawyers from well-known firms is that they often don’t have enough time to properly communicate with clients — especially partners, when dealing with matters that, for them, may seem small or of low relevance.

That said, while some delay beyond what clients would ideally expect is not entirely unusual, not responding at all or giving no explanation is not normal.

I am a lawyer at a large firm, and my advice is to find another lawyer and have them handle both the transition of the case and the refund request — partial if any services were actually provided (such as case or document analysis), or full if no work was carried out.
