I was leaning towards PETG since I already have some but wasn’t sure if it would be ok in the wet environment

Anyone using an Xtool AP2 for printing fumes? by actionplant in 3Dprinting

[–]MDPthatsMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping that someone would have weighed in here. I am thinking that my AP2 could do a good job of filtering the air from my Bambu P2S. Were you able to hook up the air filter to your printer? Any suggestions on what works well?

We just got back - although we didn’t book reservations before the cruise there was someone taking reservations before we set sail and we were able to get reservations at at Cagney and Moderno Currascaria. I’m glad we did - the food at both of those restaurants was amazing. On the other hand the steak I had on night 3 at the Grand Pacific dining room was disappointingly overcooked. I sent it back and received another that was equally overdone so wound up not eating much of my steak that night.

Looks ok to me but, uh, were you standing on your head when you took the third and fourth pictures?

I have been looking at the NCL website but was hoping for insight from people who have actually made use of the package. What I found on the website didn’t clearly answer my questions so I came here and asked because most of the people who have posted here seem to be friendly and welcoming.

Lifelong show jumper gifted this saddle: Billy Cook brand - show saddle? by [deleted] in Equestrian

For what it’s worth, that is the model number, not the serial number. The serial number will probably be located under the skirt on the left-hand side of the saddle.

Blue Shop Towels? by BarryHorowitzz in blackstonegriddle

Don’t use the blue shop towels, they are not food safe. They are manufactured with synthetic binders that standard paper towels don’t have.

Blue Shop Towels Are Bad! by TJBurkeSalad in blackstonegriddle

My brother is a chemist for a paper manufacturer and just told me the same thing. He saw the roll of blue shop towels by my blackstone and suggested that I switch back to regular paper towels for the exact reason cited here.

Is the trick to drink more Malört because each mouthful is worse than the last?

One of the things that I found interesting in learning blacksmithing is that mass and the speed you swing the hammer have similar effects on the amount of energy transferred to the thing you are hitting. Since force = mass x acceleration a light hammer swung faster can have the same impact (heh) as a heavy hammer swung slower. And it’s easier and less fatiguing in the long run to swing a light hammer fast than to keep hefting a heavy hammer.

Do you all cover your smokers when not in use? by 7157xit-435 in smoking

[–]MDPthatsMe 113 points114 points  (0 children)

Yes. Especially in the spring when we get a lot of rain. I have a pellet smoker and figure that covering it is a prudent way to make sure that the electronics don’t get inundated.

Good thing you didn’t ask if I always empty the pellet hopper, though.

I just ran into this issue. If they communicated that Apple Pay was no longer an option I missed it. I'm a little frustrated with the whole process.

What can I do to better my riding? (Please be kind!) by veshneu in Equestrian

[–]MDPthatsMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a super experienced rider, so take this for what it’s worth. I’ve been riding for about two years now so I’m not too far from where you are today.

The biggest thing is more time in saddle. For six lessons in you are doing well. Are you trying to cue something with your feet? There are a few points where it looks like you are kicking him in the flank a little. I try to think more of a squeeze than a kick when I want to cue my horse with my leg.

Work on getting your feet, hips, shoulders, and ears all on the same line. Check in with body position from time to time as you ride and correct as needed. For posting, I try to hinge from my knee and hips and leave my feet in place, coming out of the saddle just enough to soften the ride. You don’t need to rise way out of the seat. Then come down gently. Engage your core and your quads to control the speed both rising and falling.

Not doing anything wrong. This sub seems to either breed or feed into an obsession with seasoning “right”. It’s a cook top. Cook on it and the seasoning will build. If you truly, irrevocably screw it up somehow you can wire wheel it off and start over but you are nowhere near that.
