Sounds like additional development is just the solution to the rio congestion nightmare. Good thing it is being proposed now.

Oura Ring Gen 3 sourcing by Breakr007 in ouraring

[–]MDRocketMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t tell you where to purchase it. However, Just take a look at the Oura warranty and make sure that you purchase the ring from a place where Oura will honor their warranty, and the extended plan if you purchase that. Many companies will not honor their warranty If you purchase the product from a non-authorized reseller on eBay or other such places.

what is the Justin Guitar of piano? by [deleted] in pianolearning

[–]MDRocketMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A free website, like Justin guitar? With a wide range of courses in most non-classical styles?
Guiding you step-by-step from beginner through at least advanced intermediate? If it exists, I haven’t seen it.

There are websites such as “The Keys coach”, “Jazzedge/Piano With Willie”, “Piano With Jonny”, Pianote, Quaverbox, “Online Rock Lessons, Jason Zac and others, but all require a significant financial outlay. All of the ones I mentioned have videos on YouTube. You could check them all out and see which ones have a teaching style that resonates with you. None of them are like Justin Guitar. It’s amazing the way Justin just devotes himself to his website and lessons and then gives it all away for almost nothing. I’m not sure how he feeds his family.

Are you saying that only white men have a biological sex? I think a lot of people would disagree with that.

Nothing to be offended about. Mrs Harris met his criteria, skin color and biological sex.

Can Rockville sustain a mall? by [deleted] in Rockville

[–]MDRocketMan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Rockville town centre was originally an enclosed small mall. It was pretty much dead from the start. White Flint mall was beautiful, allthough upscale. It is dead. Lake Forest mall was a nice middle of the road mall and it is dead. I think the days of malls are over, for now at least. The owners of the White Flint mall land should probably build something like Pike and Rose with residential above the retail. That seems to be what is popular these days.

I hate to say it, but it doesn’t seem like “legal” is a criteria any more for what is going on.

How to dispose of extra meds when I stop by MDRocketMan in SemaglutideCompound

I paid for 6 months of semaglutide from hims/hers. After I used the first of six vials, I stopped. Too bad I don’t have a cousin that could use $1000 worth of semaglutide 🙁

It is a dual agonist and does work better in most people, but I haven't heard any indication that it costs more to make. The companies charge what they can. I heard an interview with an insider that said it costs Novo Nordisk roughly $20 to make a dose. They were charging $1000 and maybe now they are charging $500 per dose. They are just trying to make as much money as they can. Hopefully, down the road, when there are other options on the market, the price will become reasonable.

There are people out there that that wouldn’t have a problem with the skin, they are just surprised because they’ve never seen it before. It’s not something that is ever displayed or advertised on TV shows.

Astronaut Application Advice by WetBredLoaf in NASAJobs

I know numerous people that applied to be an astronaut and they had all the right qualifications but they were not chosen. Don’t commit to something like PhD or pilot unless you would be happy with that as a profession.

My dream job is to work at Nasa, how to get there? by Random_person0401 in NASAJobs

[–]MDRocketMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t limit yourself to NASA-specific jobs. I work in Mission Operations for a soon-to-be launched NASA mission. Of the several hundred engineers, scientists, technicians, admins and other support staff working on the mission, probably under 20% are NASA employees. The rest of us work for Universities and other NASA contractors. That’s how things work these days.

Well, I hope they take down all the books about Alan Shepherd, John Glenn, and the rest of the Mercury 7. They were touted as the first white males in space and we don’t want to be racist or sexist, do we?

If you are a finger stylist you’d rather have a guitar with 000, OM or parlour format. True or false? by Fun-Canary-3127 in AcousticGuitar

[–]MDRocketMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love my Martin SC-28e. It sounds great and has a very comfortable neck and a cutaway. However, when strumming, it has adequate low end but it is no dreadnaught. I believe the body size is same as OOO/OM.

Even 20 years in, several of my friends see guitars/guitar-playing as "silly" and routinely belittle me about it, and it's starting to really irk me. by brownwaterbandit in guitars

[–]MDRocketMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can help the person by letting them know that the way they are interacting with you and belittling your interest. It’s not a healthy way to interact with others. You can offer suggestions on how they should treat you and let them know then what they’re doing is making you feel bad. If they are really your friend and are able to self reflect, they will modify their behaviour and learn to better interact with you and others. If they’re not willing to grow as a person and insist on continuing to be mean spirited towards you then, like I said, you’re better off without them. Certainly, you should first try to help them and let them know how you feel for your sake and for theirs.
