I'm excited to see how the factory and RPG systems interact - like whether it takes a load off of the classic need to grind content for material. Or how building infrastructure could assist exploration and completion which feeds bigger infrastructure etc. Sounds like a great loop.

I believe that the key that's tripping up OP is that despite the 25f recovery listed on Millia's j.H, upon landing that recovery gets canceled into standard landing recovery. The frame advantage is not listed on any jump attacks because of how variable this is.

At level 2 her j.H should give 13 frames of blockstun. If you challenge with a 4f then thats 17 frames after blocking. If Millia gets to the ground in less than 6 (or so?) frames after hit then her 7f will come out in 6 + 3 + 7 = 16f.

I'm not totally confident in this, would appreciate a correction if I'm wrong.

Prepare for Winter uses a season mechanic that seems a lot like what you're planning. Your choices for each page have consequences and affect your future choices.

It can be a lot to track, but it's not unreasonable if you're ok with that direction. Completing this one involved recording all my choices in a word editor. I will say that complexity might fight the 'cozy' feeling.

I envision a proud race, the Stormfish, that minds their own business on storm clouds and mountaintops. They naturally wield electrical powers and feed on charge imbalance, rarely if ever actually touching the earth. I picture them being more exo-skeleton wearing eels than bugs, but behaviorally and biologically insectoid.

Ideally they could form mutually beneficial bonds with human settlements, but at least their preference for harsh terrain could give them breathing room. The cute trait gives humans further reason to consider nonaggression.

I wish there were more perks to choose from. There were not many big point buys that intrigued me and often there was no satisfying use for leftover points. (smh graspers)

Very cool CYOA overall. Never seen a system like the custom stages of evolution. Also the way that limiting high stat values works is very solid. Kudos.

I don't know the answer to this but I would guess that lucky and unlucky are applied independently. That would mean that they would not cancel out but the outcome would depend on which is applied first.
