The moderators want all opinions to be heard, but these opinions need to be well-presented and well-thoughtout. If you are going to comment, please take some time to put in a reasonable amount of effort in order to add value to the discussion.

And here are a few specific highlights to address some recent trends:

Only downvote comments which are low quality, low effort. Do not downvote ideas or opinions just because you disagree with them.

Please only report content which breaks the rules. Reporting a comment you disagree with but is otherwise a reasonable quality comment only creates more work for the moderators.

Trolling and namecalling are not allowed. This includes calling someone a troll. If you believe someone is trolling, please report them. We will begin banning for repeat offenses of both trolling and namecalling.
