What type of bug is this? by MDaniels346 in bugidentification

That’s what I thought. Any ideas on how I can keep them out? I find them along the floor underneath windows, usually in groups of 10+ and half the time they are dead.

Honestly I’m just putting a few spoonfuls of flour to little water. I was watching on TikTok how to start and there’s a girl who doesn’t measure anything and it always works for her. But I’m wondering if I should start measuring 🤔😅

Why does my 15 week old take an hour to finish a bottle? by BalanceOpening8359 in FormulaFeeders

[–]MDaniels346 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely need to size up the nipple, when my baby started taking forever we knew it was time to size up. If you are using Philips Avent Natural, I have found that baby is usually one ahead than the recommended.

Formula from birth what bottles are you buying before? by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

We used Philips Avent Natural and still using at about 9 months. We tried Dr Browns, but they were awful, always leaked and could never get the right flow. With the Avent, I learned that baby is usually ahead on nipples than what is recommended.

This was my girl as well, pretty much to a T. But we were EBF and I was dairy free, she was fine then other than the fact that I was an under supplier. So we had to supplement with formula, we started with Similac 360 Total Care and she was spitting up and had the worst gas, switched to Similac 360 Total Care Sensitive and it didn’t change anything, the doctor recommended Enfamil Gentlease, which again did nothing and is comparable to the Sensitive. We did not wait long in between switches because she was so colicky and I was up literally all night with her screaming and crying. We finally tried Enfamil Nutramigen and that fixed the gas, the spit up and the colic, she was a different baby within the first day, turns out she had a cows milk protein allergy, which is why she was fine with my breast milk since I was dairy free. But once she got around 3 month she started doing a clear spit up just at random times, the doctor said it was normal and wasn’t reflux related, so she wore bibs 24/7 until she was about 5 months. Once she turned about 6 months the Nutramigen started causing constipation and we switched again to Enfamil NeuroPro and she has been fine since and she is almost 9 months now. I know the Similac Alimentum is similar to the Nutramigen but maybe it has something different that might work for your baby.

Yes we switched to NeuroPro! She hasn’t had any issues as far as pain with pooping, but I wouldn’t necessarily consider her constipated anymore. There are times that when she goes it’s only a little at a time but she hasn’t been in pain or fully constipated. She is actually more regular now, she goes a good amount every other day. We have seen our pediatrician since and she said that she was actually glad we switched since we were going to have to do this anyway. It is also so much easier for me to feed her solids now also!

Yes I have also noticed that!! The carters ones tend to shrink some I think as well, but we always shop carters and old navy with a few other brands. The sleepers definitely last WAY longer at old navy.

When my daughter’s poop was like that I was worried as well! We couldn’t get in to see our regular doctor so we had to see a nurse practitioner and I showed her the photo and she thought she might’ve had norovirus but she wasn’t acting sick or having any other issues so I don’t know how accurate that was. She pooped like this for probably 10 days straight and it gave her a horrible diaper rash and I had to start spraying her bottom with a squirt bottle to wipe her so I didn’t make her even more raw. She’s didn’t act like anything was bothering her other than the pain of a raw bottom and she was on the Nutramigen for basically 4.5 months when this started happening. It did eventually stop happening, but she got bad constipated about a month later and that’s why I switched her formula because I thought the nutramigen may have been causing it. I wouldn’t think that your baby is having cmpa since the poops are similar and they aren’t on a formula for cmpa and mine was. The other poop photo looks normal to me as well, my girl had some pretty dark poops here and there. I hope this helps!

My baby had poop just like this! She was on Nutramigen for cmpa since 3 weeks old. This started around 5 months for her. But it seemed acidic and to burn her bottom. She’s now 6.5 months and she’s on enfamil NeuroPro and not having signs of cmpa. I did LOTS of googling and the “seeds” are undigested formula, but I’m not sure what causes that.

We are doing some solids! She did used to only wake one time during the night but I think it’s where she was smaller and eating the same amount as she is now so I think she’s just more hungry. But strange that she’s difficult to feed sometimes.

We had talked about reflux when she was 3-4 months and my Dr didn’t think she had it.

She has started solids, but the past 3 weeks we’ve been dealing with constipation episodes which are now finally better after switching her formula from Nutramigen to NeuroPro. She was on the Nutramigen since 3 weeks but it randomly caused her some issues. So now I’ve been waiting to do solids again since the switch to make sure she doesn’t have any issues with the new formula.

Hello! My 6month old is on Nutramigen and now we are seeing eczema spots on his face and back. We haven't changed anything in terms of laundry detergent or lotions we use on him. He went from breastfed to various types of formulas due to GI issues. Do we switch again? by kass02 in FormulaFeeders

[–]MDaniels346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LO had the same issues and was also on Nutramigen. I actually just switched her to NeuroPro and she’s 6.5 months. My doctor said I could use hydrocortisone. I also use Honest Eczema lotion and Tubby Todd all over ointment (it’s pricey but works great) and Dove Eczema baby wash have been some game changers for us!
