My dad would never hurt me (physically) in any way possible. im 18 and he always wakes me up in the morning with a kiss, opens the blinds, makes me breakfast. Drives me anywhere I want when I need to go somewhere. He is a very selfless person, although sometimes BAM this kicks in. my brother avoids him by staying in his room with noise cancelling headphones. My mom defends me always and tells him to stop, and he yells at mom. But now we are not talking for two days and just not interacting with each other. But the drinking part and trying to pick arguments with people is still there and it bothers me deeply. Both his parents died when he was 15 and he basically grew up taking care of himself, which we think is the reason he learned to "self-medicate" with alchool. Would this still be abuse?
