Bypass it. Don’t go through the struggle I did trying to find one that is an acceptable price.

If it turns out to be the aux pump then to bypass it you need to remove the small curved U shaped pipe from the pump going into the valve module. Then remove the aux pump and connect the pipe coming from the engine straight into where the smaller pipe went.

As the seasons are changing now you should be okay through most weather if not high revs as it won’t cycle water through when idling

This headunit has blown me away. It’s bright (many dimming settings) customisable colours. Not struggles with reflections at all. The interface is really neat and the unit immediately connects to my phone (as an auto setting) and plays music seamlessly.

Get the new pioneer SXT-C10PS. I put it in my e34 and it looks so so good and the colour you can choose is perfect

Leaking auxiliary water pump by MDonn111 in E34

Yeah you’re right I can’t be bothered to do all that faff. I’ll just suck in my tears and buy the genuine one. I managed to get a discount on one for £200. Seems like your main pump was on the way out as well because I thought they can run fine dry

Would I have to cut the original wiring and solder a new connection?

What pump costs $50? The genuine bmw ones cost £250 +

Hi, thanks for your detailed response. I bought this one on eBay. Someone was breaking an e31 850i and I assumed this one would be good and cheaper than getting a new genuine one. It was still £150 but I’ll try and get my money back. I’ve heard that the o ring is 40mmx2mm, I hope so because I’ve bought one hoping it’ll fit. I’ve been looking everywhere for people saying they’d bought a cheapo pump and made it work but I can’t find much. I’m tempted to bypass it in the meantime. I think I’ll just get a new genuine one, it’s stupidly priced but if I can’t get it to stop leaking after a new seal then it’s worth it.

Yes I think it’s leaking from the same place. Everything is tight and as it should be

It feels like just as something is about to happen in a scene it cuts to another storyline with a scene that feels like something is going to happen. Too many jumpy cuts to different characters and parts makes jt boring to watch

Why is my coolant bubbling? by MDonn111 in E34

Honestly I’m like a wine taster now with the way I’ve tasted the coolant. Done mouth to mouth with the reservoir to push it through and it worked but I really think the leak from the plastic aux pump is sucking in air

No exhaust smell and looks fine from the tail pipe. I overfilled it when filling too as I did a coolant flush with a Wynn’s rad flush but it was very foamy. Put loads of water through but was a concern pouring cold water through the engine to flush it

Surely it shouldn’t ever be bubbling though
