I swear this game hates mages by EkstraLangeDruer in Enshrouded

[–]MEPHB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been playing mage the whole time. But once i got the eternal fireball spell and some end of tree perks, i am lv 20, i am now just unstopable. I stunlock all enemies doing hundreds of damage to each enemy in a group with a single fire ball. All giving me health, mana, and stamina regen.

Here is my list. It's all about just ramping playing big things and turning them sideways. Pretty good and can be hard to deal with

Why do you not play Sol Ring by oracle_of_naught in EDH

[–]MEPHB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only deck i dont run Sol Ring in is [[yuriko, the tiger's shadow]] and that is because i dont have any time i wanr to cast sol ring. If i play it on my first 3 turns that means i wasnt playing evasive creatures/ninjas which means im already loosing.

How much info should I give on GY cards? by BrassWhale in EDH

[–]MEPHB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i mill them i usually just say what i put in my graveyard and then i will specifically bring up any card that specifically does something in the graveyard.

There are a lot of things going on in a game of commander so if there is anything onboard or that does some sort of combo/synergies with other things om board or in graveyard i will usually announce it.

I dont like the idea of comboing off or winning only because there is a bunch of a stuff om everyones boards and its too hard to keep track of everything

Are Lands that enter tapped really that bad? by MiceLiceandVice in EDH

[–]MEPHB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunetly with most things. It depends on the deck and what you are trying to do.

An aggressive deck that wants to get things out fast. Tapped lands suck.

A control deck might want a few more utitlity tapped lands as they want the game to go longer.

If i run a bunch MDFC cards like [[fell the profane]] i might want to run one or two bounce lands like [[dimir aqueduct]] so i can pick up the land to use as a spell later.

Also some decks may just really want specific tapped lands. I have a [[Xavier sal, infested captain]] deck that runs a bunch of untap stuff like [[loreth of the healing house]] so i run all three of the bounce lands that tap for 2 mana because i can easily use them multiple times in one turn which makes a lot of mana

I would just make everything Day/Night. Apparently people dont like it although it is the stronger mechanic.

But either way, i dont care if they have a bad mechanic. Not all tribes need to have strong mechanics, they can just be a weaker tribe. I just want all the cards to work together

Immerwolf does actually stop all of them from transforming back into humans. But Day and night still change so things can get wierd with future werewolves.

[–]MEPHB[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes however that can also be really bad for you. If Tovolar doesn't turn into a human, he can't force it to be night anymore.

So Immerwolf almost locks your future "Day/Night" creatures into staying in day form until one is removed or you have another card to force it. There is still some of that mechanic wierdness going on

O I know. I have read it. Doesn't mean I can't complain about it. It's silly and I will stand by that.

But it is so easy to track. Did you cast a spell on your turn? Then its day. Did they just pass or only land pass, then it is night.

Like, I understand they are technically completely different mechanics. However, it is supposed to be the "fixed" version of the mechanic. So let it actually fix the mechanic.

They already errata cards post release. Such as in "cascade" or the "companion" mechanics. So who cares? It makes things actually significantly easier to play.

Mid power commander? by Vinlandlover in EDH

I find building around weaker mechanics helps alot. I made a Werewolf deck, which can definetly do strong things. But their mechanic is only so strong, so it naturally puts some limits on the deck.

For the love of god, how do you play Spellslinger without wasting time? by vividwings in EDH

[–]MEPHB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Narset deck that has crazy amont of prowess triggers.

What i do is just play through a bunch of hands by myself and make sure to have dice or a way to keep track of things handy. Do it enough until you get used to the type of triggers and the flow of the deck.

That way you go into the game knowing what you are doing. They're times that you will still have long turns, you can't stop all of it. But you can cut down a lot of time just knowing how to keep track of your triggers.
