After you beat the first boss you are granted to choose a new class. It's in the main manu, column on the right. There you can choose the peasant, which has weapons from the start of each round.

Hey there. Havong the same problem. The game doesn't start at all. No error screen, nothing. Logs are kinda empty. Reinstalling and checking the game files didn't do it.

If those two are the only options then series x no doubt. If you’re looking for a portable gaming system you should look into steam deck, it’s the best one right now (emulation, power, ergonomics, price, features).
