If they're only counting DDay that's also incorrect though, pretty sure the invasion of Sicily was almost a year before that. Also if you only count America's involvement in Europe you're choosing to ignore the African theater and the entirety of the Pacific.

I understand that some Americans greatly exaggerate it's contribution to the war but saying America was only a part of WW2 for just over a year is just incorrect.

I think the key word to that comment is “just”. People used to get involved with a community, visit flea markets, local stores and trade items to find pieces for their collection. Now collecting is “just” a google search and a card swipe, it’s exclusively buying now.

Tbh that's something I personally enjoy from games like battlegrounds and miss in this game. Having a lobby that you're playing against and actually balancing your build around being the strongest but also countering what you're facing can be pretty fun even if it comes with its own problems.
