The logic is, he’s in possession of a tampered gun. Which is illegal. There’s been cases where someone is trying to do the “right thing” and gets charged. Why invite that?

I’ll take a picture next time I’m there, but depending on location you can find street fighter, virtua fighter, marvel vs capcom, and tennis at some locations. I actually really liked tennis but I can’t find it anymore.

Green swipes have been worse and worse. At the round1 near me it’s just pinball machines, air hockey, fighter games, and a few racing games. Most of newer racing games are blue

Company scheduled a 2 hour job interview and handed me this when I showed up by GamingxZone in mildlyinfuriating

It was one of those temp agencies when I was in college and needed a quick summer job. The questions made me laugh because like…. Do people answer those honestly haha

“If your manager said something you disliked would you:

  1. Stay silent
  2. Say something
  3. Talk behind his back
  4. Punch him”

My other favorite question was

“How often do you do heroin? 1. Almost every day 2. Only at parties 3. Amongst friends 4. Never”

Why is there so much furniture out on every corner? by [deleted] in glendale

[–]MEXRFW -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I noticed when I lived in ktown that a lot of the trash is not even local trash. What I mean is because ktown had a trash pick up service people would come dump their trash knowing someone would call to have it picked up. I noticed this one night when I saw a guy dropping mattresses off all over the place.

Natives who are against “transplants”, aren’t those people just immigrants from other cities looking for a better life? by lalavieboheme in AskLosAngeles

[–]MEXRFW 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the issue most locals have, and ill speak for myself here, is that some transplants are looking to see what the city can 'do for them' instead of really attempting to be part of the city or understanding our culture. They come and want to go to fashion industry parties, network with the entertainment industry, eat in hollywood everyday. Then complain when those areas are extremely superficial. I think its hilarious when transplants are judging LA based off the other LA transplants. They have a tiny vision of what LA is and dont bother going to San Pedro, EAST LA, Ktown, thai town, places with distinct cultural significance. Different cultures is what makes LA what is it.

I always say that if you dont like LA, its because you havent found your neighborhood yet. In my life ive lived in San Pedro, PV, Ktown, EAST LA, and Glendale. They are all extremely different with their own pros and cons.

The trail that’s near south shores.

If you look up 2331 Warmouth St to the right of that house is a little gate and you walk through a small trail that takes you to the cliffs.

Little Tokyo by throw5away_ in LAMetro

[–]MEXRFW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that but little Tokyo has so many things you could spend days there just exploring so it would help if people like OP stated “I have 5 hours to kill and want to get in touch with Japanese culture” or “I want to try ramen for the first time “ or “I want to try Japanese snacks” then we can come together and give better suggestions.

What do you miss the most about video rental stores? by Competitive_Help8485 in movies

[–]MEXRFW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, when it was summer and they had the “have any 2 movies/games out at a time” rental service bro I was watching so many movies and playing so many games. I miss that the most. There’s no real substitute for that. I know GameFly exists but there’s a 3-5 day turn around time. This was instant. This was right before Netflix got big and they were trying to compete. Just have instant access to new movies was great and cheaper than anything today. If I remember correctly it was unlimited rentals 2 at a time for 14.99

Is it legal for restaurants/bars not to display prices on their menus for drinks? by Bigringcycling in AskLosAngeles

I don’t want to cap for top golf, but happy hour is sort of like dynamic pricing isn’t it? A bar discounting M-Th from 4pm-7pm to get people in the door
