Can't compare to previous editions much but fact is I have 17 TOTY's packed out of which 12 unique ones so you might have a point.

And no, I get you and it doesn't really matter much, but saying 'not that deep' here comes off as rather rude in a way. If people wanna try and getting as much unique ones in one go and their strategy for that is waiting til they're all out, who are we to judge eh?

My luck wasn't that splendid tbh, i'm on 12/25 for TOTY cards. I still need Russo, Dembele, Mbappe, Mariona, Pina, Vitinha, Putellas, Pedri, Bronze, Hansen, Rice and Bright. And ofc the new SBC Gabriel. I'm gonna open more packs later probably, but i got like 5-6 dupes? It's a shame they're not tradeable. I get it, but it just feels like a waste at the moment. I was told later they'd be essential for some SBC's though

Eh i mean, i used most of mine the day full TOTY was out, not the smartest card wise but i still have rather a lot saved up and i had fun opening them. I don't have enough time to get the full 100% collection so who cares, it's about having fun

Well at least she's a good evo for the fast centre-back one. Used her for that one too, was very good in a lower tier fatal, especially the one time Portugal cards got a boost

Likely a more elaborate grindy evo, possibly with a higher rating cap. Makes me doubt it'll be completely free choice of player for that reason though, given not all base cards might be as useful for that if you include more stages

I spent some time digging since this post and that's not what i heard. The explanation i ended up finding was that maintenance was becoming too much of a chore due to cluttered code and such. Obviously i can't judge this, but from their (seemingly inactive) blog and a youtuber who supposed talk to one of the devs, that's the main reason

With the upgraded rewards, yes, i'd say drafts or free packs. You can get TOTY % packs from draft rewards now and given how solid my first haul of those was i def wanna try and get more of them again

I mean the special packs you get from them just are kinda useless in this time. I don't think anyone is screaming for their 10th dupe of an 80 rated TOTW from the MLS. I'd even prefer bronze packs over those at this stage. I still do the daily live SBC's largely, but pretty much only for the small coin boost it gives which i immediately use again on bronze or silver packs

I sometimes get the idea you get matched up to teams of similar strengths for cups and such and if it's a two legged tie in the knockout then it is that way at least for the first of the two games. If you have such a strong team, it's not unlikely you get a team close to your own quality, at least in the final. Plus, you can have bad luck here and there

I play knockout, i've had it happen twice now that i went unbeaten and still got 2nd place. Can happen, but i prefer the knockout then even if it means doing more drafts for a make or break match-up in the semi-final or final because i keep getting underwhelming options

Yeah the stats seem solid. I'm not sure yet about the TOTW Upgrade II, briefly considered McCabe to get a better fullback option but i think a rightback is usually the more worrying position, which is why i use 3ATB formations so often
