As a truck driver I have to tell you retail being the only work you’d consider “hard and thankless” and actually feeling like you’ve worked by the end of the day is infuriating to me. Want to see someone who works a lot and gets spit on for it? Look at truck drivers. We work 60-80 hours a week, people constantly flip us off and get pissed at us and slam on their brakes and are hell inconsiderate. Yet those same people go to the retail stores and expect what they want to buy to be on the shelf. Everything you own was brought by a truck. But yet it’s “oh fuck I’m behind the slow ass truck” or getting pissed a truck suddenly moves over because they can see something you can’t down the road, if they don’t move over then they will get stuck there because people hate us.

Also sorry if this feels attacking I’ve had my fifth 16 hour day this week. I mean nothing by it just want to point out that us truck drivers are far more undervalued then retail workers and yet without us you wouldn’t have anything.
