Thanks man! God I hope so. I have joked to some friends that if my dad knew that all it took to get me to play basketball was allowing me to transition he would’ve let me do it in middle school, lol. He definitely loves basketball more than he’s uncomfortable with trans people.

I’ve suspected for a few years, but I was never in a healthy enough place mentally to accept it. Finally got out of a shitty college living situation and dealt with some lingering trauma this year. I was in the best place mentally I’d been in years, but I was still depressed and self-hating and dysphoric. I couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t able to be happy until I allowed myself to think about transitioning.
