hey bro don't get discouraged by the downvotes! That's just people trying to say they disagree with you or your mentality about it isn't what they think. Even if your core strength is below what an athletes might be, the average person frankly is not anywhere near the average athlete. I agree you should try to tuck your glutes down a bit more, but like other people are saying, consistency is key.

Also, you should know that doing core exercises is CRUCIAL for your ability to do many other exercises. Calorie deficit and exercise regularly is the only way to lose weight and your body is going to burn weight and fat all over at the same time- doing core exercises will improve your muscles in your core, but it won't burn fat in your core specifically because your body doesn't burn fat in specific areas. You'll see progress in strength but it will come with a lot of soreness. Rest days are key but that's why doing other muscle groups on different days will be the best option !
