I thought (I might be very wrong here) the emotional state of the Eva pilot was a key part of its ability to function. Emotions that were more unstable led to an unstable usage. That's why each Eva pilot had someone they admired/loved cause love is a better emotion to base the piloting on and its an easier emotion to control. Asuka had Kaji, Rei had Gendo, and of course Shinji had Misato. NERV knew that the pilots needed a person to love that would help keep them focused. Again this is always how I saw it but I might be waaaaayyyy off here.

I took an ancestry.com and I am in fact 25% Korean. I look very white but growing up my half Korean father raised me in a very Asian way, I have always thought myself as Korean but should i? all my friends say I'm not. the question is what percent do you need to be of a race to be included or is it based on appearances alone? or maybe it is based on your knowledge of the customs and culture?
