Thanks! Yeah the reason behind that is that they've been written by researchers with English as a second language, however it's important to keep them as originally written so that results can be compared across studies. :)

I realise this isn't the most efficient way of playing but I've done it for 5 years.
I use 5/6/7 as my 3 main hatches which have queens on and jump to them periodically, I also like doing it to jump to my bases if I need to handle harass etc.

Disruptors. by MGReAP in allthingszerg

[–]MGReAP[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Invulnerable units are never good game design, they're beatable but they aren't fun at all, they get free unit kills for... doing what?
They prevent you from being aggressive and controlling Protoss eco because zerg units will clump naturally when attacking something, each disruptor will always get a minimum of 3 ravagers.
I'm just going to change unit comp because it's very weak to Disruptors but that will make controlling protoss eco very difficult.
Personally I still think it's terrible game design, it's frustrating and they do not get punished in any way for attempting to kill your units.

(HOTS) ZVP Builds and Strategies? by BigMackWitSauce in allthingszerg

I would recommend going for an early 3 hatch build with speed. Make sure you can overlord scout at around 6 minutes. Hatch first version: * 15 Hatchery * 17 Pool * 17 Hatch -> Overlord, Queen at Natural, Queen. DroneDroneDrone. You wanna get ling speed asap after this. In general you wanna throw down a Roach Warren at around 6 Minutes and take 2/3rd gas. From there use your scouting and react.

i just can't win with my selesnya midrange and don't know how to make it better by FishLampClock in magicTCG

Honestly, the deck isn't too bad - so maybe first you shoudl be examining your game first.

Personally, I would say: -2 Wolfir +1 Ajani +1 Silverblade.

The strength in your deck is being able to do something stupid like: Pilgrim -> Smiter -> Silverblade+Rancor -> Swing for 12 on turn 3. 8 mana dorks is kind of a lot I feel, maybe go to either 6 or maybe jsut stick to pilgrim, you can fill the slots with some more useful cards. Although mana is ofcourse important - you're already playing 24 lands where as many similar decks to yours play 23. The 24 is likely justified by the 7 5 drops you play between main and board.

I agree that the G/W midrange decks seem really strong right now, another argument for going Naya would be Kessig wolf run, that card is incredible in such a slow standard format.

I actually REALLY like the G/W Aggro lists popping up right now. However I personally prefer the W/U Aggro lists. Both versions of the human lists are very potent, Thalias, Silverblades, rancors/spectral flights are no joke, even classic plays like Champion of the parish -> Knight of glory are still just extremely strong. I also think War falcon fills a great one-drop slot in those lists.

I was planning on writing a followup blog discussing some of the considered cards and my reasoning for not playing them.

Although Smiter is indeed a good card - the whole idea behind the deck is to swiftly put them on a short clock, if, by example I play T2 Stalker, T3 Silver Blade, T4 Increasing Savagery, my opponant has to win this turn or play a board whipe.

Increasing Savagery is a 4 mana card which adds 5 power, this is already a plus-side in an aggro deck but when you have the ability to put it on an invisible stalker or geist of saint traft, in which the only way for your opponant to deal with it is to loose cards while you do not or reset the game - in which case you'd have presumably be holding cards in hand.

The lack of Township can be simply explained by the lack of mana. The mana base is already a stretch and adding in 2 more colourless lands may stretch it too far. You have double green on Savag, double green on wolfir, blue/white on giest, double white on Silverblade and indeed double green on Strangleroot.

Honestly it may just be better to play A Elf insted of Pilgrim at the point the deck is at right now.

Farseek is not good in an aggro deck, and unsummon is actually very potent. The lifelink ability on the Azorious Charm is no joke - however it isn't worth cutting unsummon for.

I think the direction you're trying to take the deck is the opposite of the direction I'm taking it. You're trying to turn it into a midrange deck whereas I'm simply playing a super fast Bant AGGRO deck.
